1. Disconnect the fog lamp harnesses if applicable, and then remove the bumper.
a. Remove the bumper mount plates from in between the frame rail and radiator. Discard the mount plate hardware.
b. Permanently remove the air dam from the truck frame crossmember. Remove the fasteners that are pressed into the bumper bracket on the frame rail. Secure the bracket and frame wall with vise grips and then use a hammer to punch out the fasteners.
2. Position each hanger plate (Ref 6):
a. Between the inside of the truck frame rail and bumper mount plate. Align the holes on the plates with the holes in the frame. Secure with bolts (Ref 12) and washers (Ref 13) through each of the holes. NOTE: Each hole contains a welded nut on the inside of the truck frame rail. NOTE: The Dakota Sport, Dakota SLT Extended Cab and Durango SLT require bolts (Ref 9) washers (Ref 10) and nuts (Ref 11).
b. Between the bumper bracket and engine radiator support. Align the holes in the plates with those in the frame. Secure with bolts (Ref 9), washers (Ref 10), and nuts (Ref 11). Finger tighten the fasteners until all undercarriage parts are in place.
3. Use a floor jack and position the pushbeam (Ref 1) between the hanger plates and in-line with the vehicle crossmember.
a. This model will use the attached support arms.
b. This model will require the use of the reinforcements plates (Ref 7 & 8). Secure these plates to the inside of the support arms with bolts (Ref 9), washers (Ref 10) and nuts (Ref 11).
4. Secure the pushbeam to the crossmember with t-bolts (Ref 14), washers (Ref 15) and nuts (Ref 16). NOTE: Use the access holes to help position the t-bolts through the crossmember correctly.
5. Mount the pushbeam square with the bottom of each hanger plate using bolts (Ref 9), washers (Ref 10) and nuts (Ref 11). Torque the pushbeam to hanger plate hardware to specifications.
6. Level the pushbeam with the floor and tighten the hanger plate to frame and crossmember hardware to torque specifications.
7. Replace the bumper using existing hardware. Reconnect the fog lamp harnesses if applicable.
8. Position the Light Tower into the mount pockets on the push beam. Each pocket has a lock pin that secures both light tower arms. Pull out and twist each ring handle to temporarily unlock the pins. Place the light tower into the pockets and relock the pins. Mount each Plow Headlight to the light tower with the hardware kit provided.
9. Plug the connectors from the snowplow headlights into the connectors on the vehicle wire harness. Adjust both lights with the plow in the raised position.
