Subwoofer Installation 1. Find the fuse block under the hood and open the fuse box cover.
2. Using a 13mm socket and ratchet loosen and remove the fuse box power supply nut.
3. Connect the ring terminal of the power harness to the fuse box power lug and retighten the nut.
4. Route the wire toward the rubber grommet in the fire wall where the hood release cable passes through securing with wire ties where needed.
5. Remove the two phillips screws securing the black plastic trim panel under the steering column.
6. Make a hole in the grommet using a razor knife and pass the power wire through the grommet. .
7. Find where the wire is coming through the fire wall on the interior of the vehicle. Pull through until the protective loom over the wire just touches the grommet. Fig. 3
8. Install the supplied two pin connector by inserting the terminal on the end of the power wire into the back of the connector until it clicks and locks. Fig. 4
9. Depress the blue terminal retainer down in the center of the connector.
10. Using a panel removal tool gently pry up the threshold/kick panel along the bottom of the front door opening to release fasteners and remove panel. Fig. 5
11. Gently snap loose the driver’s side kick panel. Fig. 6
12. Using a panel removal tool pry the cover off of the end of the dash. Fig. 7
13. Find the 10mm dash bolt in the driver’s side kick panel area and connect the black ground wire of the wire harness. Fig. 8
14. Locate the left front door speaker wires in the wire harness bundle next to the hood release lever. The wire colors are gray with a yellow stripe and gray with a purple stripe. Install one of the self stripping t-tap connectors on to each wire. Lay the wire in the open channel, fold the connector body over and squeeze with a pair of pliers until connector snaps shut.
