Upper Grille
Tools Required:
Flat blade screwdriver
Diagonal cutters
Ratchet with 7mm, 10mm, and 11mm sockets (2” extension helpful)
Torx T-20 Bit (possible to also use a hex wrench)
1/8” Drill bit and Drill
Required Time: allow 30 minutes to an hour.
Kit includes: Upper grille, trim and 7 zip ties

1. Remove two screws from each wheel well using the ratchet and 7mm socket.
2. Pull the fender liner out from behind the fender so as to expose the 3rd screw that holds the front bumper cover to the fender. You will have to look up to see the 3rd screw.
3. Remove the 3rd screw from each wheel well using the ratchet and 7mm socket using the 2” extension
4. (not shown) Remove three bolts from underneath the vehicle that attach the under car panel to the chassis, using the ratchet and 10mm socket. I did this without lifting the vehicle. If you lift the vehicle, please use caution and be sure to use appropriate stands and do not rely solely on a jack to support the vehicle.
5. Remove the 4 plastic plugs by prying with the flat screwdriver at the small recessed area as shown to the left. I also use the diagonal cutters to wedge the plug from the plug holder. There are two of these at each side and can seen from underneath at the edge.
6. Open hood and remove the 6 Torx bolts using the Torx T20 bit.
7. The bumper cover is then slid forward and easily removed from the car. Note that there are two slots on each side where the bumper cover and the fender meet. When you reinstall, be sure these lineup with the post.
8. The OEM grille is removed by lying the bumper cover face down (be sure to place it on a soft surface to prevent scratching the paint.
9. Remove the quick install nuts using the ratchet and 11mm socket.
10. Depress the locking tabs and then the OEM grille should be able to be removed pushing it towards the front.
11. Place the OEM grille to the side as it will not be used.
12. Install the trim installed on the upper grille (note the trim has to be installed completely and cut to fit as it can be stretched slightly)
13. Set the bumper cover back up right and drill a small hole along the bottom edge to allow the zip tie to go through.
14. Insert the new grille from the front and then using the zip ties attach the grille to the OEM grille mounting points. Do not pull too tight as the grille needs to have an overall smooth flow. Note: Be sure to insert the top edge of the grille before inserting the bottom for best fit. Upper is COMPLETE
