Removing the OEM seat
A. Begin by lifting the rear seat bottom out from the seat hooks (See fig. 1). Remove the seat belts by removing the OEM nuts from the vehicle seat belt mounting studs using a 18mm socket/wrench (See fig. 1A). Do not remove the seat belts anchored to the sides of the vehicle (shoulder straps).
B. Remove the backrest OEM seat by pressing on the top of the tabs located on either side of the seat behind the headrests. A screwdriver can be used to accomplish this unlocking of the tabs. (See fig. 2 & 3)
C. At this point the vehicle should resemble (Fig. 4). The seats have been removed and only the OEM child restraints are exposed. Note that some of the child restraint bars have been bent toward the floor. This is necessary for the Pro-gard seat to fit properly in position. Simply press firmly onto these bars until they resemble the photo #4.
D. Make sure that the seat brackets (3P214) are installed as shown in the photo to the right. This will help align the Center Divider.

Installing the Pro-gard ABS floor pan
B. Next, install the floor pan making sure that there are no objects underneath.
A. Before installing the floor pan, lift the plastic B-pillar cover by removing the Phillips screw. Also, lift the C-pillar plastic cover toward the rear of the vehicle. This is to be done on both sides before installing the floor pan.
Note: the rear of the pan does not cover the OEM seat inserts.
C. Using the existing holes in the floor pan as a template, drill a 1 ―” hole in each side of the floor and insert the rubber grommets. This will allow for cleaning and drainage. The plastic trims can now be re-mounted.

Installing the Pro-gard ABS rear seat
A. Before installing the Pro-gard seat, mount the seat locating tabs (3S5601) from the bottom of the ABS seat using the (3X03) carriage bolts and the 3X17 lock nuts. These locating tabs will allow the seat location into the OEM seat insert (refer to fig. 6 above & fig. 7 below). The seat will position over the edge of the floor pan.
B. Re-install the seat belts using the OEM mounting nuts. The OEM seat belts will be used with the Pro-gard seat.
C. Once the seat has been positioned from the bottom, complete the seat installation by using the self-tapping screws provided, (3X77) and the (3X78) finish washers to secure into place (See fig. 8). These screws will also be used to secure the seat along the floor pan area, see existing holes. Note that the seat has a seat belt relief along each side of the seat. This will allow for seat belt adjustments.
