Care must be taken when installing this accessory to ensure damage does not occur to the vehicle. The installation of this accessory should follow approved guidelines to ensure a quality installation. These guidelines can be found in the “Accessory Installation Practices” document. This document covers such items as:- • Vehicle Protection (use of covers and blankets, cleaning chemicals, etc.). • Safety (eye protection, rechecking torque procedure, etc.). • Vehicle Disassembly/Reassembly (panel removal, part storage, etc.). • Electrical Component Disassembly/Reassembly (battery disconnection, connector removal, etc.).
1. Clean Front Mounting Area (a) Clean and degrease front body panel where mudguard is to be located with a clean, dry lint free cloth and 3M™ Prep Solvent – 70. (b) When cleaning with 3M™ Prep Solvent-70 follow the manufacturer’s directions. Do not allow cleaner to air dry.
2. Hardware Removal (a) Remove existing screw location A and discard. (Fig. 2-1). (b) Remove push pin location B and discard. (Fig. 2-1). 3. Installation of Front Mudguard (a) Mount mudguard on body panel and install supplied push pin in location B, while holding part up and tight against body. (Fig. 3-1). (b) Install supplied #14 screw (Truss) in location A and D while holding part tight against body. (Fig 3-1).
