The Mudguards installation steps on Toyota Rav4 Flared
1. Clean Front Mounting Area
Clean and degrease front body panel where mudguard is to be located with a clean, dry lint free cloth after use of 3M™ Prep Solvent – 70. When cleaning with 3MTM Prep Solvent-70 follow the manufacturer’s directions. Do not allow cleaner to air dry.
2. Hardware Installation and Removal.
Install supplied plastic insert into square hole location C. (Fig. 2-1). Remove existing screws locations A and B. Do not discard. (Fig.2-1)
3. Installation of Front Mudguard (a) Mount mudguard on body panel and reinstall existing screws in locations A and B while holding part up and tight against body. (Fig. 3-1).
4. Installation of Lower Mount Hole
Install supplied #14 screw in location C while holding part tight against body. (Fig 4-1). Repeat procedure for other side.
5. Clean Rear Mounting Area
Clean and degrease rear body panel where mudguard is to be located with a clean dry lint free cloth after use of 3MTM prep solvent-70.
When cleaning with 3MTM prep solvent-70 follow the manufacturer’s directions. Do not allow cleaner to air dry.
6. Identification of Rear Mount Holes
Identify existing mount holes locations A, B and C. (Fig 6-1). Remove existing screw locations A and B, do not discard. (Fig 6-1). Remove existing screw location C and discard. (Fig 6-1).
7. Installation of Rear Mudguard
Mount mudguard on body panel and reinstall existing screw in locations A and B while holding part up and tight against body. (Fig 7-1). Install supplied #14 screw in location C while holding part tight against body. (Fig 7-1). Repeat procedure for other side.
