Victor Jr. 23š heads are designed for competition and ultra high-performance street small blocks and accept valve train hardware designed for standard 23š Chevrolet heads. They have a 550+ hp potential, out-of-the-box, for a cost effective, race-winning set-up. High-flow precision-cast 215cc intake runners offer excellent port alignment with Fel-Pro #1206 intake gaskets (recommended) without the need for port matching. These heads also feature .300” raise exhaust ports and 64cc or 70cc chambers with hardened, ductile iron valve seats and phosphor bronze guides. A 9/16” thick deck surface provides superior gasket retention. Valves are 1-piece, stainless steel high-quality construction.

Before beginning this installation, take a few minutes to preread these instructions. Check that all necessary materials, units and accessory kits that are listed in the application guide are on hand. It is imperative for proper engine operation and vehicle life that adequate engine cooling is provided (i.e. fan shroud and/or large fan). Also check the vehicle weight capacity as listed on the vehicle certification label. Advice is hereby given by the vehicle manufacturer that for proper driving and handling, the reserve weight capacity not be exceeded, refer to the manufacturer recommended sizing guide

The following instructions begin after the timing cover and old timing set have been removed.
Installing the timing set and degreeing the camshaft will be easier if you loosen the rocker arms so that the camshaft can turn freely. You should be able to turn the camshaft by hand. Make sure that the engine mounting surfaces and your new timing set have been thoroughly cleaned with a good solvent. If you are using a timing set with three keyways, select the appropriate keyway for your camshaft timing specifications. COMP Cams ® recommends the standard timing position for most applications. This position uses the round or “O” timing and keyway marks. Standard Timing Location: This is the same as original O.E.M. setting. Use keyway and crankshaft gear tooth marked “O”.

Installation Instructions:
Pull and recline front seats all the way forward. Flip rear seat bottom up and fold seat back down.
Set the DU-HA in truck, centered on the floor, with DU-HA lettering facing forward (as shown). Make sure slot in the DU-HA is aligned with center child safety seat bracket.
With the DU-HA centered on floor use the DU-HA as a template to mark and drill two 5/16” holes in the floor flaps. Flip up the front flap to make sure the DU-HA is positioned against the rear of the cab before drilling. If you do happen to drill through the duct below the floor flaps they are only pressure release vents for cab pressure so a hole will not affect them. It’s best to secure driver’s side first before drilling passengers’ side.

1. Raise and support vehicle at a safe, comfortable working height. Let the front suspension hang freely
2. Remove oem coil spring and shock absorber. Refer to a factory service manual for proper disassembly procedure.
3. Due to the Shockwave bellow being larger than the coil spring you will have to open the coil spring pocket as shown by the white circle in the picture. You will also need to remove the lip of the coil spring retainer and cut between the large holes as shown in the picture. This is best done with a plasma cutter, cutoff wheel, or saw.
