At Cadillac, excellence is our only standard – and the experts are taking notice. Take our Escalade, Escalade ESV and Escalade EXT, for example. Edmunds.com praises the Escalade family for such virtues as “endless V8 power, plush ride quality, more nimble than you might think, comfortable seats, plenty of cargo capacity, all the latest technological gadgets, best-in-class towing capacity.”* The automotive experts at familycar.com call Escalade “big, distinctive and cool”** and say, “… the Escalade has an edgy, hip air about it that breaks the mold of a typical luxury SUV.”** And in November, 2004, forbes.com declared, “The Escalade is a classic, and no SUV commands more respect.”† They also named it the best SUV in its price class.† Escalade, Escalade ESV and Escalade EXT. When you’re willing to settle only for excellence.

3. Remove both hangers near the factory tips from the rubber isolators.
NOTE: Be sure to save all rubber isolators from the vehicle. They will be used to install the CORSA Performance exhaust system in later steps.

After installation, the ONSTAR LOCKPICK will allow your aftermarket Bluetooth Handsfree kit to interface directly with your vehicle’s ONSTAR system. When you are making or receiving a call, your ONSTAR will be activated and the audio can be heard through your factory sound system. The ONSTAR LOCKPICK contains a simple “T” harness for connection to your radio. This “T” harness also has connections for your Handsfree kit to supply power for it, and connect to its radio mute function. A separate harness allows connections to the line level audio output of your Handsfree kit so you will not have to use any of the extra speakers which may have come with your kit. You can listen to your conversations just as you would an ONSTAR message and the sound will play through your factory sound system.

The GMRC-03 is designed to be used in Cadillac’s that do not have Onstar or amplified systems. It will retain the warning chimes that are lost when the factory radio is removed. The GMRC-03 will also provide a 12 volt switched accessory wire for proper radio operation. *Note: The GMRC-03 can be used in Cadillac’s that come with a factory amplifier; however the factory amplifier must be bypassed and the speaker wires on the GMRC-03 must not be used. Running new wires to the speakers is recommended. If the Cadillac also has Onstar, that feature will be lost.

STEP 1. Begin by removing the small black trim ring that surrounds the radio. Insert the hook tool behind the upper right corner of the trim ring and pull toward you to loosen the ring. Once the ring is loose, work the remaining three (3) corners of the trim ring loose. Set the trim ring aside. Turn the ignition to the “ON” position and shift the transmission into low gear. Just above the ashtray door, grasp the top section of the bezel that surrounds the transmission shifter and pull toward you to release two (2) clips. Insert the hook tool behind the right rear corner of the bezel just behind the shifter. Pull upward to release one (1) clip. Perform the same action in the left rear corner releasing one (1) more clip. Grasp the rear of the bezel and continue working loose two (2) clips on the left and right sides of the shifter. EGR SYSTEMS: This manifold will not accept stock EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) equipment. EGR systems are used on some 1972 and later
model vehicles and only in some states. Check local laws for requirements. This manifold is a street legal replacement part when used with the OEM carburetor on 1968-72 472 and 500 c.i.d. V8 passenger cars.
• MANIFOLD: The Performer Cadillac is intended to be used in high performance and engine swap applications. The carb pad is 3″ taller than stock, and will not fit many stock applications. Check your hood clearance before installation! The manifold accepts either original equipment Q-Jet carburetors or Edelbrock Performer Series square-bore carbs as listed below. The runners and plenums are sized for operation from idle to 5500 rpm on 500 c.i.d. engines.
• CARBURETOR RECOMMENDATIONS: CAUTION- Use only carburetors recommended. If parts required for installation are unavailable locally, contact Edelbrock directly.

The 1971-1974 Eldorado is a classic Cadillac that is fast becoming a collectable and appreciat ing automobile. Sadly, even though Cadillac was a trend-setter in introducing wire wheels for their cars, the current Eldorado owner has few choices when it comes to dressing their car up with wire wheels that add to the elegance of the car. Roadster introduced a line of wire wheels that will work on these cars, however, due to the very limited room in the rear wheel wells and close proximity of the fender skirt fastening hardware, the wire wheels require that there be a few changes made to accomodate the wheels. It is our opinion that these changes should be performed by a qualified bodyshop or fabricator so that there is no risk of harming your car. The purpose of these instructions are to demonstrate what modifications will be involved. None of these modifications will spoil or detract from the original appearance of your car. The modifications required are all to areas that cannot be viewed from the outside.
