OPi- User’s Guide

OPi-A8 is a direct iPodо interface developed for Audi vehicles utilizing the MOST fiber optic bus. OPi-A8 is designed to interface with current versions of the iPodо and iPodо Nano. Once installed, OPi-A8 allows the ability to control iPodо functions from the vehicle’s head unit, and also allows partial control of iPodо functions (volume adjustment and track control) from the vehicle’s steering wheel controls. To minimize driver distraction, the iPodо interface buttons will not respond while the iPodо is docked and the OPi-A8 is active. While the iPodо is docked with the OPi-A8 interface, the iPodо will automatically begin charging. In order to activate the OPi-A8 your radio must be in CD changer mode. Vehicles equipped with factory installed CD changers will lose the function of the CD changer once the OPi-A8 is installed. Vehicles that do not have a factory installed CD changer will not lose any radio functions.
