The LEMFÖRDER brand sets standards
like no other.
The products developed for the LEMFÖRDER brand are optimized right through to series maturity in thorough inspections and field trials, and then subjected to the toughest conditions in special wear tests. This approach gives you safety and reliability under all conditions – as service and costs only meet the customer’s demands when high quality is implemented systematically. We are always making comparisons. Why not do so too – for your safety and that of your customers.
Only through the highest quality standards can, for example, the requirements for control arms be met in respect to wear and drive. Despite the general duty to conduct proper testing and verification of safety features, considerable differences are to be found in the market.

For bolts into aluminum, use light oil, or anti-seize, not Loctite! For bolts into the steel bracket, use Loctite.
Check for free movement of the lever and pulley after bolting to the bracket! If the lever sticks at any point in it’s travel, check the bracket for any weld spatter, or plating material, and use a Dremel to smooth the area. If the pulley pin is rubbing, it may be pressed in too far. Support the back side of the pulley, and press or tap it in with a hammer, until it has clearance.

Tools & Procedures
• EQUIPMENT: Damper Installation Tool
• Anti-seize Compound
• The Proper Key
• Whenever it’s necessary to remove a vibration damper, only a proper puller tool should be used.
• DO NOT use a hammer during installation.
• Honing or machining Fluidampr bore is not recommended. A diametrical press fit of .0005″ to .0015″ is recommended for proper damper function. (Aluminum Fluidampr p/n’s 630102, 630112, 630602, 660202, 720102, 720112, 740102, 730602 & 740112 require a diametrical press fit of .001″ to .0025″.) If a micrometer is available, you may want to measure the crank snout and the inner bore of Fluidampr to assure proper fit.

Prepare for the installation.
• If possible, install the SWI-PS while you are installing the new head unit. Keep in mind you may need to plug in the factory stereo to locate certain wires; therefore do not complete the head unit installation until the SWI-PS is working properly.
• Plan a general installation location for both the SWI-PS plug and the control body. Keep in mind that the supplied wire harness is two feet long, and the 1/8″ plug harness is three feet long.
• Use a multimeter or approved measuring device for checking vehicle circuits.
