What is a Catalytic Converter?

A catalytic converter (colloquially, “cat” or “catcon”) is a device used to reduce the toxicity of emissions from an internal combustion engine. First widely introduced on series-production automobiles in the U.S. market for the 1975 model year to comply with tightening EPA regulations on auto exhaust, catalytic converters are still most commonly used in motor vehicle exhaust systems. Catalytic converters are also used on generator sets, forklifts, mining equipment, trucks, buses, trains, and other engine-equipped machines. A catalytic converter provides an environment for a chemical reaction wherein toxic combustion by-products are converted to less-toxic substances.

User-ready child restraint tether strap anchors will be provided in passenger cars in the 2000 Model Year, and in light trucks in the 2001 Model Year. Tether straps improve the performance of child restraints in collisions. Because of the publicity that has accompanied the “Fit for a Kid” Program, owners of earlier products are expected to approach dealers for the free provision and installation of the anchor hardware. Daimler Chrysler Corporation is offering child seat tether anchors for the selected vehicles listed above. Each tether anchor is packaged in a kit containing all necessary parts and a detailed instruction sheet.

The MSD Digital DIS-2 Plus Ignition can be used on 4-cylinder engines equipped with two dual output coils. The DIS-4 Plus Ignition can be used on 4, 6 or 8-cylinder engines equipped with up to four dual output coils. The Ignitions will accept trigger inputs from electronic distributorless type ignition systems.
NOTE: It is recommended that you have the Service Manual and wiring diagram for your vehicle before beginning the installation of the MSD DIS Ignition.

It is recommended to have a wiring schematic of your vehicle’s ignition system to clearly identify the Coil Positive (12 Volt ) supply wiring.
The MSD Tach Driver wires inline on the positive 12 volt supply wire. It senses current on the coil positive wire and converts it to a 12 volt signal output. To install the Tach Driver, the coil positive wire must be identified for your application. Once the wire has been located it is recommended to check for 12 volts using a volt meter. Connect the meter and turn the ignition On. In some cases, the engine must be cranked over in order to see 12 volts.

Before Installation
1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Locate the facotry ECU and disconnect the ECU harness connectors. Refer to the ECU location Chart on the back of this manual.
3. Follow the wire diagram for the specific vehicle list on the back of this manual, and connect each harnesses.
4. Inspect all connections and reconnect the ECU harness connector. Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery.

EasyTune with a built in resistor pack

Used with DSM/EVO or other cars. Choose your installation method based on your choices of electronic equipment (ECU, injector drivers and resistor packs) that control your fuel injectors. Other option on the back of this page.
Use this installation method when using low impedance injectors AND an existing resistor pack as found in Mitsubishi Eclipse Turbo, EVO and other applications. You may, of course, add your own resistor pack.
EasyTune installs with three wires, as shown in the illustration on the right. Install the EasyTune in-line on the positive feed wire (A) that feeds the resistor pack.

Deluxe Motion Upgrade Kit Instructions

This document describes the steps for upgrading a Need for Speed™ Underground Deluxe Motion Cabinet to Need for Speed™ Carbon. The Upgrade Kit includes a new computer, Software, Game Dongle, Artwork, and an external mounting bracket for the Nytric USB I/O PCB. Need for Speed™ Carbon software requires a new computer. You will need to remove the Digital- Analog Converter (DAC) card and Nytric USBI/O PCB from your existing computer.
