Most late model cars have in-built defence mechanisms to guard against increases in boost pressure. Such systems are important but can be an obstacle when increasing boost pressure The Turbosmart FCD2 will allow boost pressure to be increases above the factory level and prevent momentary shutdown of the fuel injection system.
IMPORTANT NOTES ON YOUR BOOST CONTROLLER
• Once the fuel cut defender has been installed, the factory over-boost fuel cut will no longer operate at the factory level. The boost can now be raised to dangerous levels which can damage your engine if it is not capable of handling higher boost pressures. Be extremely cautious when increasing the boost pressure above the factory level. Seek the advice of your local tuner or performance specialist for further information

The Adaptive Cruise Control and Collision Warning with Brake Support integrated system allows the driver to set the vehicle’s speed and maintain it without using the accelerator pedal, and uses radar sensors to detect moving vehicles ahead and warns the driver of collision risks. Vehicle cruise control set at 70 mph Radar detects slower vehicle ahead, reduces speed to return vehicle to a pre-set following distance Cruise control adjusts to the lead vehicle’s speed and resets to the original speed if traffic clears

Judging by the thickness of this manual one could easily be intimidated. Not to worry, EGS is set up to be as simple or as involved as you want it to be. You can customize your EGS “as you go”, by adding modules and expanding the functionality of your system at any time. This gives you an opportunity to get familiar with the gauge and then build-up a very powerful system that can give you a complete “window to your car’s soul” regardless if you have a ’69 Camaro or a modern-day Honda. At the time of writing this document there is no other commercially-available gauge that has wideband oxygen sensor capability as well as OBDII (with CAN), not to mention Adaptive Alarms and other features EGS has. We are quite proud of the innovation in the G-TECH/Pro EGS product line. I hope you will enjoy it for many years and don’t forget to tell your friends about it.

Branding is the mechanism whereby a business/person aligns itself with a service or product from which it perceives benefit and value. In using the RMI branding in your business there is a two-fold purpose in that members align themselves with the RMI and the Code of Conduct, and in turn the RMI encourages through their media interface, peace of mind to consumers in dealing with businesses who are RMI members. The RMI brand has become more visible in recent years through its interaction in many business spheres, but most importantly through its media interface with consumers in both radio and newspaper advertising campaigns. Consumers are being made aware of the value in dealing with businesses aligned with an organisation, who also has their interests in mind.

This bulletin is being revised to add models and model years. Please discard Corporate Bulletin Number 02-06-01-027A (Section 06 — Engine/Propulsion System). Information on Engine Oil Consumption Guidelines for the 6.6L
Duramax Diesel Engine
All engines require oil to lubricate and protect the load bearing and internal moving parts from wear including cylinder walls, pistons and piston rings. When a piston moves down its cylinder, a thin film of oil is left on the cylinder wall. During the combustion process, part of this oil layer is consumed. As a result, varying rates of oil consumption are accepted as normal in all engines.
