Installation is the easiest if you have a Haynes, Clymer or Chilton manual for your car. Next: 1. Locate your car’s year, make and model. 2. Select: “Repair Info” at the left side of the screen. 3. Select: “Vehicle Repair Guides”, “Chassis Electrical”, “Wiring Diagrams”.
If you have a problem with obtaining a wiring diagram you can identify the wires yourself. Note: Instead of taking a chance by stripping insulation, you can take two sewing needles or poster pins. Turn ignition OFF. Pierce isolation so that the needles are touching the wire inside the isolation. Now you can measure the voltage. Turn ignition ON. Don’t disconnect the MAP/MAF sensor plug. Wait for 3-5 minutes. Use multi-meter to probe the voltage between a minus of the car battery and three (or more) wires of a MAP/MAF Sensor. If you see 0 Volt between minus of car battery and one of the three wires of MAP/MAF sensor then that wire is a minus of the MAP/MAF sensor. If you see stable 5(12) Volt between minus of car battery and one of the three wires of MAP/MAF sensor then that wire is a +5(+12) Volt of the MAP/MAF sensor. If you see changes from 0 to 5 Volt between minus of car battery and one of the three wires of MAP/MAF sensor then that wire is a signal wire of the MAP/MAF sensor.
