Removal 1. CAUTION: The No. 1 cylinder must be set on top dead center (TDC) of the compression stroke or the synchronizer assembly will not be installed correctly. CAUTION: Do not turn the crankshaft or the camshaft during the removal and installation procedure or the fuel system timing will be out of time with the engine and possibly cause engine damage. Rotate the crankshaft until the No. 1 cylinder is at TDC of the compression stroke and the TDC mark lines up with the timing mark.

You will have bolts/nuts left over. There are several vehicle arrangements and we have provided the hardware for each configuration.
STEP ONE: Determine proper bracket placement.
1) Find the pre-existing holes equally spaced on the pinch weld.
2) Factory mounting holes have changed throughout model years and will require one of the following. ( Fig A & B )

The Ford – Ignition Start Control’s (ISC) will prevent start-up backfire during alternate fuel operation. The controller delays the ignition until the Ford OEM computer synchronizes with the cam sensor and generates no waste spark.

WARNING LIGHTS AND CHIMES
Low fuel
Illuminates as an early reminder of a low fuel condition indicated on the fuel gauge. The light comes on when there is approximately 1/16th of a tank indicated on the fuel gauge (refer to Fuel Gauge in this chapter for more information). The ignition must be in the ON position for this lamp to illuminate. The lamp will also illuminate for several seconds after the ignition is turned to the ON position regardless of the fuel level.
