1) Remove hub cap, cotter pin and lock nut. Loosen and remove lock nut from wheel bearing. Remove engine undercover. Remove front fender apron seal.

Disassembly
1. Thoroughly clean and air dry valve bodies. Remove check balls. Remove each valve train.
2. Lay valves, springs and bushings on a clean surface in the order removed. Remove solenoids, sensor, screens, servos and accumulator assemblies.
Cleaning & Inspection
Clean valves, springs and bushings in solvent. NEVER use shop rags to clean valve body components. Inspect valves and bushings for scoring, nicks and scratches. Inspect springs for damaged or distorted coils. Inspect valve body casting for porosity, interconnected oil passages and damaged machined surfaces.

1999-2000 SUSPENSION’ ‘Front Removal (Except Odyssey & S2000)
1. Loosen lug nuts with vehicle weight on tires. Pry lock tab away from spindle nut, and loosen nut. Raise and support vehicle. Remove lug nuts and spindle nut. Remove wheel assembly. Remove brake hose mounting bolts, caliper assembly, and support aside. DO NOT put weight on flexible brake line.
2. Remove brake disc retaining screws. Install two 8 x 1.25-mm bolts in brake disc, and tighten bolts to force brake disc from hub. Alternate tightening of bolts to prevent brake disc from binding on hub. Disconnect ABS wheel sensor (if equipped) from steering knuckle and set aside. DO NOT disconnect sensor connector. Remove cotter pin and nut from tie rod end.

Removal (Eclipse & Galant)
1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove engine splash shield from right side wheelwell.
2. Lower vehicle. Support weight of engine with floor jack. If necessary, remove coolant reservoir. Remove upper engine mount located near timing belt cover. Remove all drive belts. If necessary, remove drive belt tensioner pulley bracket and power steering pump pulley. See Fig. 1 . Remove water pump pulley.

The following procedures for removing the fan clutch gives the factory recommended loosening and tightening directions for the fan hub nut. However, it has been our experience that certain aftermarket parts manufacturers have changed this to enable use of universal fit parts. We recommend trying the factory direction first, then, if the nut doesn’t seem to be moving, reverse the direction. Placing too much load on the water pump snout will break it.

This application is an interference engine. Do not rotate camshaft or crankshaft when timing belt is removed, or engine damage may occur.
Removal NOTE: Front lock carrier (radiator support) must be moved forward to remove timing belt. 1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove front, lower engine cover. Lower vehicle. Separate release lever from hood lock. Remove front bumper cover. See Fig. 1 . Remove bumper carrier from impact damper. 2. Unbolt air duct between lock carrier and air cleaner on lock carrier. Remove support bolt on passenger side of lock carrier and insert one Lock Carrier Guide (3369) into hole. See Fig. 2 . 3. Remove lock carrier front support bolts. Remove lock carrier-to-side panel bolts. Insert Lock Carrier Guide (3369) into hole on driver’s side of vehicle. Slide lock carrier forward on lock carrier guides. 4. On (more…)
Disassembly
1. Remove the differential case (4204). For additional information, refer to Differential Case in this section.
2. NOTE: The differential bearings (4221) need not be removed to overhaul the Ford limited slip differential. If bearing removal is required, use the special tool 205-D072 (D97L-4221-A) and special tool 205–D019 (D80L-630–8) for differential case bearings.
NOTE: The anti-lock speed sensor ring cannot be reused once removed. Remove the differential pinion shaft lock bolt and remove the differential pinion shaft (4211). If required, remove the differential ring gear and anti-lock speed sensor ring.
3. Install the special tool in a suitable vise.

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION the GM Full-Size Trucks Fuel Injectors
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Relieve the fuel system pressure.
3. Disengage the fuel meter body electrical connection and the fuel feed and return hoses from the engine fuel pipes.
4. Remove the upper manifold assembly.
5. Tag and remove the poppet nozzle out of the casting socket.
6. Remove the fuel meter body by releasing the locktabs. Each injector is calibrated. When replacing the fuel injectors, be sure to replace it with the correct injector.
