1. Prepare the work area. Since this installation requires handling turbocharger and exhaust components, the vehicle should be cold. A top-side creeper will be a very valuable to ease this job. Alternatively, rolled shop towels can provide some cushion when laying over the engine while working on the turbocharger and exhaust pipes. Have a shop light handy.
2. Raise the hood fully. Locate and disconnect the negative lead from both batteries.

The front fascia, metal bumper, air baffle and windshield washer reservoir are removed for baseplate installation. Drilling is required. Trimming of metal bumper and fascia is required. Horn brackets will need to be relocated. The BX8869 is available for the vehicle. Attachment Tabs are 24 inches center to center and a height of 19 inches.
1. Remove the four phillips screws from top edge of upper grill between headlights, using the phillips screw driver.
2. Using a long shank phillips screw driver, loosen the screw on lower section of grill from opening on top edge of grill (white arrow), both sides. Pull the middle of top grill edge forward to loosen center screw of lower grill, pull grill forward and set aside.
3. Remove the five push pins from the top edge of fascia.
4. Remove one phillips screw from fascia’s end just forward of front tires, both sides.

INSTALLATION OF HOTCHKIS FRONT STABILIZER BAR
1) Please look at the original front antiroll bar and note the orientation of the front bar. You will want to install the new Hotchkis bar in the same manner.
2) Securely block the rear wheels of the vehicle. Use a jack to raise the vehicle and support with jack stands.
3) Remove the factory plastic undertrays from the car with a 10mm socket on the bolts, and a small screwdriver to pry open the plastic trim plugs.
4) Disconnect the endlink from the stabilizer bar using a 14mm wrench.
5) Using a 14mm socket and extension, remove the factory frame brackets. Then remove the stock bar from the vehicle.

1. Carefully unscrew the shift knob by rotating it counter clockwise.
2. Remove the 2 screws on either side of the console.
3. Remove shift boot and plastic cover by gently squeezing the insides of the cup holders and lifting.
4. Remove the plastic cover around the handbrake by carefully lifting up on it.
5. Remove the 2 screws in the base of the console.
6. Remove the 2 screws at the back of the center console and lift it out of the car. Put it in a safe place for re-installation later.

Installation Procedure A. Check Kit Contents 1. Check kit for contents and damage.
B. Vehicle Preparation 1. Open vehicle hood. 2. Use blankets to protect the front grille area and the front seat area. 3. Set parking brake. 4. Put transmission in Neutral. 5. Disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery at the terminal.
C. Removal Procedure: OE Air Filter Enclosure 1. Remove air cleaner lid. i. Unfasten the 3 hook clamps. (Fig. C1) ii. Loosen the hose clamp that secures the intake hose to the air cleaner lid. (Fig. C1) 10 mm Socket iii. Unplug the Mass Air Flow Sensor connector. (Fig. C2) iv. Remove wire harness from the air cleaner lid. v. Remove OE air filter lid from engine bay. vi. Remove OE air filter.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Loosen the hose clamp on air cleaner box lid. Twist and remove breather hose from air cleaner box lid. 2. Unhook the two air cleaner lid latches on front of box. 3. Remove the air cleaner box lid by sliding it forward, and then up, and out of the factory intake tube. 4. Remove factory air filter from air cleaner box. 5. Remove, and set aside the oil filler cap. Use caution not to drop anything into engine while cap is off. 6. Carefully lift up on the engine cover (it is held in place by grommets, no bolts) to access the hose clamp (more…)

OVERVIEW: VEHICLE 1 Using a 10mm socket with ratchet, loosen the nut and remove the negative battery cable from the negative post of the battery. 2 Using a 10mm socket with ratchet, remove the grounding bolt from the inner fender. This grounding bolt is located on the drivers’ inner fender behind the battery as shown in Figure B. 3 Using a 10mm socket with ratchet, remove the two bolts holding the windshield washer reservoir. 4 Lift the reservoir out of its place and unplug the green washer pump connector from the washer pump at the bottom of the reservoir. 5 Locate and disconnect the two front wiring harness plugs (E2 and E3). 1. Open driver side door. Lower window.
2. Remove door lock cover.
3. Unsnap and remove the triangular molding that covers the mirror mounting screws.
4. Unsnap and remove the molding that covers the door handle. Remove the screw behind the door handle.
5. Unsnap the control console and unplug the wires. Remove the screw located behind the arm rest.
6. Dislodge the door panel by pulling it up and away from the door slightly. Disconnect light and tweeter connections and remove door panel.
7. Secure mirror with one hand. Proceed cautiously to avoid dropping articles into the door panel. Remove the 3 mirror mounting nuts using a 10mm socket.
