Relieve the fuel system pressure before servicing fuel system components in order to reduce the risk of fire and personal injury. After relieving the system pressure, a small amount of fuel may be released when servicing the fuel lines or connections. In order to reduce the risk of personal injury, cover the regulator and fuel line fittings with a shop towel before disconnecting. This will catch any fuel that may leak out. Place the towel in an approved container when the job is complete, and of course, no smoking. Magna Charger strongly recommends the following:

Step 1: Remove Factory Air Intake Assembly
Removal of the factory air intake assembly is straightforward. Start by removing the surrounding plastic covers and placing them somewhere out of the way so as not to cause any damage and provide ample working space.
Using basic tools, disconnect the intake from the throttle body, unclip the mass airflow (MAF) sensor and disconnect the breather hose. Remove the factory air filter and air box, revealing an opening to the lower fender wall. This is where your new air filter will be placed in order to draw in cooler air.

Module Installation
1. The Edge EZ Module can mount on the flat black plastic fuse box cover located on the driver’s side fender. Adhere the module using the supplied velcro, allowing enough harness movement for removal of the cover. Data Link Connection
2. The Data Link connector is located in different locations based on the
year of the truck:
• 98.5-99 the triangle shaped connector is located on the drivers side of the engine in the wiring harness near the power steering pump
• 2000-2001 the three prong flat connector is located on top of the fuel lift pump that is located on the driver’s side of the engine directly below the MAP sensor, note: on some 2001 truck’s the connector is located on the drivers side of the engine in the wiring harness near the power steering pump
3. A plug is installed in the data link connector on the truck to resist corrosion, remove this and install the supplied connector.

We hope you are satisfied with the look and performance. You may use any polish or wax on the pipe as it’s painted with the same high quality paint as your car. Please note, with such a large pipe the fit is tight. Take your time and it will be a smooth install. Please note, it has come to our attention that Ford has 4 different motor mounts putting the engine in 4 slightly different positions. This can cause this intake to be very tight to the oil fill cap on a small percentage of models and “may” require slight modification of the cap with a Dremel or grinder to clear this JLT intake.
