The Moroso Dry Sump Oil Pump is designed to fit either 90° V-6, small or big block Chevrolets, and the only difference is the mounting holes. You can see that there are two sets of slotted holes on the mounting bracket, which attaches the pump to the engine block.

Installation of this baseplate requires drilling 17/32” holes in the vehicle’s frame.
1. Read the General Instruction Sheet included with this baseplate.
2. The baseplate bolts to the bottom of the frame behind the bumper using six bolts supplied with the baseplate. Use of Loctite to secure the bolts is highly recommended. The vibrations and stresses of towing can cause bolts to loosen even with lock washers in the assembly.

While it may be possible to install this kit without removing the bed, it is recommended that you do so, as it is much easier. Support the front and rear of the chassis on jack stands. Be safe! Avoid pulling and pushing on the vehicle while it is off the ground. Remove the rear axle assembly, stock springs, shocks and brackets.

3. Block the rear wheels of the vehicle to prevent vehicle from moving in either direction.

1. Unplug all lights and harnesses connected to factory bumper and remove from truck frame.
2. Remove factory tow frame to install new Top Gun rear bumper. In order to remove tow frame, the bed of the truck has to be loosened on lifted 6 inches off the truck frame. Remove 4 bolts towards the rear of the bed, end loosen but do not remove the 2 bolts towards the front of the bed. Lift bed and remove towing frame.

This product is not a replacement for a new steering box and/or ball joints, but it will aid in reducing the stress placed on the steering box and associated wear. All steering components should be checked and replaced if necessary prior to addition of the steering box support. Installation should occur on a vehicle properly secured to prevent rolling. 1) Remove contents from box and check for damaged parts. Verify all parts are present, making sure to read and understand instructions before install.
2) Locate (8) factory holes on inside body panel. Remove black tape covering holes 3, 5, 6, & 7 on Quad Cabs and holes 2, 3 & 4 on Reg Cabs. Install frame lock bolts into factory locations.
