While it may be possible to install this kit without removing the bed, it is recommended that you do so, as it is much easier. Support the front and rear of the chassis on jack stands. Be safe! Avoid pulling and pushing on the vehicle while it is off the ground. Remove the rear axle assembly, stock springs, shocks and brackets.

Some specific model year 2009 – 2010 Altima and Maxima vehicles may have been built with front strut mounting insulators that were not manufactured to specification. The strut mounting insulators on these specific vehicles may crack. To remedy this potential condition Nissan is conducting this voluntary safety recall campaign to replace the strut mounting insulators with new ones at no charge for parts or labor.

Note on Sport Model Trucks – This light bar will not mount correctly on sport model trucks without realigning the bumper. TRUCKS WITH FACTORY TOW HOOKS
1. Temporarily remove the factory tow hooks and set them aside along with the bolts.
2. Position your KC light bar so the brackets will sandwich between the tow hooks and the frame. ( NOTE – The light bar must be rolled into Bumper place by inserting the lower end of the brackets into the opening first Bolts and then rolling it up into place.)

BRACKET INSTALLATION
1) Remove contents from box and check for damaged parts. Verify all parts are present, making sure to read and understand instructions before install.
2) Locate (8) factory holes on inside body panel. Remove black tape covering holes 3, 5, 6, & 7 on Quad Cabs and holes 2, 3 & 4 on Reg Cabs. Install frame lock bolts into factory locations.

The front fascia, metal bumper, air baffle and windshield washer reservoir are removed for baseplate installation. Drilling is required. Trimming of metal bumper and fascia is required. Horn brackets will need to be relocated. The BX8869 is available for the vehicle. Attachment Tabs are 24 inches center to center and a height of 19 inches.
1. Remove the four phillips screws from top edge of upper grill between headlights, using the phillips screw driver.
2. Using a long shank phillips screw driver, loosen the screw on lower section of grill from opening on top edge of grill (white arrow), both sides. Pull the middle of top grill edge forward to loosen center screw of lower grill, pull grill forward and set aside.
3. Remove the five push pins from the top edge of fascia.
4. Remove one phillips screw from fascia’s end just forward of front tires, both sides.

This kit contains two modules; 1.) the rear seat and fixings with brackets, hardware, etc., and, 2.) rear seat belts, with screws, brackets, etc. Since occupant safety depends upon the proper functioning of seating systems and seat belt assemblies, it is vital that good engineering practice is followed in the fitting of the seat and seat belt modules. Ensure that all items in this kit are fitted according to the instructions and that all components function as described when installed.

STEP 1: PREPARE THE VEHICLE
Lift the vehicle at the rear axle until the vehicle is not supported by the leaf spring anymore. Make sure the vehicle is secure and not liable to roll away or unintentionally lower.
STEP 2: INSTALL THE AIR FITTING
Pre fit the kit by mounting the brackets onto the spring and by fitting the elbow for the air supply in the spring. Install the elbow in the air inlet hole on the top plate of the bellows. Tighten until the elbow is pointing towards the centre of the vehicle. Next, cut the air line into two equal lengths, making the cut as square to the axis of the tubing as possible. Insert the air line into the elbow and push until a positive click is felt.

Installation for Toyota Celica GT:
Disconnect the negative battery terminal before starting this installation.
1. Remove the stock air intake box and air intake duct leading to the throttle body. Remove the air temperature control sensor and grommet on the air intake box. Remove the Reducing air check valve located on the air intake duct. See fig. 7
2. Press the 2 1/2” straight hose onto the throttle body and use two clamps, tighten the clamp on the throttle body at this point. Take the 8 1/2’-10mm hose and press one end over the port on the valve cover. See fig. 2
3. Take the heat shield and slotted brackets and place them over the press nuts. Take the 5/16” flange bolts and screw them into the press nuts . See fig. 3 Slip the clamp that is on the filter over the the hooked ends of the slotted brackets. Now slip the neck on the filter through the hole and between the brackets. Slide the brackets up to the neck of the filter and tighten the 5/16” flanged bolts. See fig. 3

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent an accidental short circuit.
2. Remove the volume by pulling out towards the rear of the vehicle.
3. Using a T-10 Torx screwdriver to turn the release screw 90º behind the volume knob then pull out on the bottom of the radio and remove. (more…)
