REMOVAL PROCEDURE:
1. Raise and support the vehicle
2. Install the rear axle support
3. Remove the shock absorber lower mounting bolts
4. Remove sway bar link bolts
5. Lower the rear axle

FRONT INSTALLATION Read complete instructions before beginning installation, the following special tools are recommended: Coil spring compressor, floor jack, ball joint separator, jack stands, and metric hand tools. Jack the vehicle in the center of the front cross member. Support the vehicle by placing jack stands on the frame cross member so that the front tire/wheels are off the ground. Remove the front tires/wheels. Disconnect the sway bar end links and remove the upper ball joint cotter pin and nut. Separate the upper ball joint from the spindle. (Using ball joint separator or a suitable tool) Remove upper strut nuts on the strut tower (3) on each side of vehicle that holds strut (more…)

This coil spring lift kit should only be installed on vehicles in good working condition. Before installation, the vehicle should be thoroughly inspected for evidence of corrosion or deformation. This coil lift kit should not be installed on any vehicle that is suspected to have been in a collision or misused. Failure to observe this warning may result in serious personal injury and/or severe damage to your vehicle.

Just finished my install of Eibach Pro-Kit springs on my Coupe. I did it one tire at a time. Torque spec on tire lugnuts: 80ft/lb. The following is a post copied from Gsedan35 over in FreshAlloy. He installed springs and struts from a 350Z. I only installed Eibach springs on my Coupe. It is edited to be specific to the coupe. “I did this to help anyone wanting to do this themselves. If any moderator would like to edit this in anyway to improve it and place it in the FAQ section, to right ahead. This is how “I” did it. You can do your own thing where it makes sense to do so.

The E30 3-Series range first became available in the UK in March 1983, and continued in production until April 1991, when the revised E36 3-Series range (not covered by this manual) was introduced. Convertible and Touring (Estate) models were introduced for 1988, and these models have continued in E30 form to date. The E28 5-Series models were introduced in October 1981, and were superseded in June 1988 by the revised E34 5-Series range, Touring versions of which became available from March 1992. Throughout this manual, E28 models are also referred to as “old-shape”, while E34 models are designated “new-shape”.

Conventional Suspension Exploded View Of Rear Suspension Assembly. 2WD Legacy. Performing the following procedure.
1. Remove rear seat cushion and backrest.
2. Raise and support vehicle.
3. Remove rear wheels.
4. Disconnect brake hose from brake caliper.
5. Remove lower and upper strut mount retaining bolts, then the strut assembly.

• Remove Wheels
• Remove nut (1) and bolt (2). (According to manufacturer, “Audi”, bolt and nut must be replaced)
• move the two upper balljoints (3 and 4) upwards.
• remove nut (5) and bolt (6).
• remove caps and take off nuts (7 and 8).
• remove complete shock spring assembly.
• Dismantel using spring compressor
• while dismantling the shock spring assembly – review the parts list.
• Note: When removing the spring shock – unit consider the position of the pivot bearing (Figure 2).
• Adjust lower spring seat height (see parts list, upper edge spring plate to center attachment bolt)
• Installation is the reverse or removal. Note torque specs of following page.

Step 1 – Vehicle Preparation
Remove the negative battery cable. With the vehicle on a solid level surface, chock the front wheels. Using a jack rated for the weight of your vehicle, raise the wheels off the ground. Lower the vehicle frame onto jack stands rated for the vehicle weight, making sure the suspension is fully extended. (Do not use wood or concrete blocks to support the vehicle.)
Step 2 – Remove the Coil Spring
Put a jack under the axle on the left side of the vehicle. Remove the lower bolt from the shock absorber. Lower the axle until the coil spring can be removed. Caution: DO NOT put tension or strain on the flexible brake line. Remove the jounce bumper located in the coil spring. The jounce bumper will not be reused. Drill a 3/8″ hole in the center of the lower spring seat for the air line to pass through. See Figure “C”.

FRONT INSTALLTION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Block the rear wheels of the vehicle. Raise the front of the vehicle and support the vehicle with jack stands under the frame rails. Remove the front wheels and tires and set aside. Position a hydraulic jack under the front axle and raise the jack until the front suspension begins to compress.
2. On both sides of the vehicle, scribe alignment marks on the adjustment cam and axle bracket at the lower link to axle attachment point for later reference. See Photo 1

Installation Procedure below:
Front Installation:
1. Secure & properly block the tires of the vehicle on a level concrete or asphalt surface.
2. Raise the front of the vehicle in accordance to the manufactures recommendation & support with jack stands.
3. Remove the front tires / wheels.
4. Remove the upper ball joint nut & separate the upper ball joint from the steering knuckle using a ball joint remover or other suitable tool.
5. Disconnect the lower strut fork at the lower control arm & the lower portion of the strut assembly.(See Photo #1)
6. Remove the air box on the passenger side.
7. Remove the 4 upper strut nuts on the strut tower that holds the strut assembly to the strut tower.
8. Separate the strut fork from the strut assembly & remove the strut from the vehicle.
