2002-05 Dodge Ram 1500 4″-5.5″ Kit

As a general rule, the taller a vehicle is, the easier it will roll. Offset, as much as possible, what is lost in rollover resistance by increasing tire track width. In other words, go “wide” as you go “tall”. Many sportsmen remove their mud tires after hunting season and install ones more appropriate for street driving; always use as wide a tire and wheel combination as possible to enhance vehicle stability. Braking performance and capability are decreased when significantly larger/heavier tires and wheels are used. Take this into consideration while driving.

Original Exhaust System Removal
Note: With a used vehicle, we suggest a penetrating spray lubricant to be applied liberally to all exhaust fasteners and allowing a significant period of time for the chemical to lubricate the threads before attempting to disassemble.
1. On each exhaust pipe behind the catalytic converter, unbolt the clamp (figure 1) using a 15mm socket. Unbend the metal tab (figure 2) on each pipe.
2. Remove (4) cross-brace support bolts using 15mm socket (figure 3). Place hardware to the side.
3. Lubricate all the hangers and rubber isolators.
4. Using a muffler stand or an additional person to hold the rear muffler into position, remove the hangers from the rubber isolators (figure 3) and at each rear muffler.

Exhaust System Removal:
1. Measure 1.5” for STS (See Fig. A) or 9” for SRX (See Fig. B) before the driver side muffler inlet weld. Using a chain cutter or saw, cut the rear muffler off at this measurement.
2. Remove the hanger on the inlet side of the muffler from the rubber isolator.
3. Remove both hangers near the factory tips from the rubber isolators.
NOTE: Be sure to save all rubber isolators from the vehicle. They will be used to install the CORSA Performance exhaust system in later steps.
4. Repeat steps 1-3 for the passenger side muffler.

Must only be installed on vehicles covered by the FIAT Authorization, and in any case that aren’t fitted with an ESP (Electronic Stability Program).
1. Lifting the vehicle
Lift the rear of the vehicle slightly using suitable jacks positioned in the lifting points to guarantee the safety of the operation and to avoid damaging the chassis: you don’t have to take all the load off the rear suspension, it’s enough to let the wheels down enough to be able to insert the air springs.
2. Fitting the suspension units
Unscrew the end of stroke buffer. Fit the top support of the AIR TOP (figure 2) in its place using the M10 x 1.25 x 25 screw and the flat washer supplied (torque down to 53 Nm) applying thread locking compound.
