The purpose of this modification is to allow the MOBI-ARC’s PWM regulator to control the alternator. Read through these pages before undertaking modification. People not mechanically inclined may choose to have a local alternator re-builder facilitate this modification.
In its original configuration, this alternator uses diodes within the rectifier plate known as “avalanche” diodes. Avalanche diodes are fine for charging, but they are incompatible for welding due to their limited voltage breakdown rating. In order to use the MM alternator, a rectifier plate with standard diodes must be installed. We’ve manufactured bolt-in rectifier plates with standard diodes. The rectifier plates look identical, but electrically they different.

Must only be installed on vehicles covered by the FIAT Authorization, and in any case that aren’t fitted with an ESP (Electronic Stability Program).
1. Lifting the vehicle
Lift the rear of the vehicle slightly using suitable jacks positioned in the lifting points to guarantee the safety of the operation and to avoid damaging the chassis: you don’t have to take all the load off the rear suspension, it’s enough to let the wheels down enough to be able to insert the air springs.
2. Fitting the suspension units
Unscrew the end of stroke buffer. Fit the top support of the AIR TOP (figure 2) in its place using the M10 x 1.25 x 25 screw and the flat washer supplied (torque down to 53 Nm) applying thread locking compound.

The mounting procedure outlined below covers the 2003 and Newer ū & 1 Ton Dodge trucks. You will need to refer to the illustrations and familiarize yourself with each of the undercarriage components and their relative position to each other. Then proceed as follows:
1. Remove the mounting hardware connecting the bumper to the driver side of the frame. Align the two vertical holes on Push Beam Support Plate (62B) with the bumper mounting holes on the outside of the frame. Attach Push Beam Support Plate (62B) to the frame using ―”-13 x 4-―” Hex Head Bolt (G) and ―”-13 Lock Nut (B). The rear and bottom mounting holes on Push Beam Support Plate (62B) must be drilled in the truck frame. With Push Beam Support Plate (62B) in place, drill two 9/16” diameter holes in the truck frame. Drill the hole in the side of Push Beam Support Plate (62B) through both walls of the frame. Drill the bottom hole through the bottom frame wall only. Repeat the process on the passenger side.
