Start by removing the factory pillar. This is done by pulling down the rubber door gasket and removing the two screws in the handle area of the pillar, tip the top towards the steering wheel to get it out. You have to use a little force to get it free of the dash.
Though the gauge pod is intended to be used as a replacement for the factory pillar, we suggest cutting the handle off of the factory pillar and using the gauge pod as a cover. This is so that the backs of the gauges will not be visible through the windshield after installation.

It is recommended to have a wiring schematic of your vehicle’s ignition system to clearly identify the Coil Positive (12 Volt ) supply wiring.
The MSD Tach Driver wires inline on the positive 12 volt supply wire. It senses current on the coil positive wire and converts it to a 12 volt signal output. To install the Tach Driver, the coil positive wire must be identified for your application. Once the wire has been located it is recommended to check for 12 volts using a volt meter. Connect the meter and turn the ignition On. In some cases, the engine must be cranked over in order to see 12 volts.

This siren will be mounted onto the vehicle horn’s mounting plate near the drivers side front tire. The vehicle horn’s mounting holes will be used to mount the SA314 siren speaker.
WARNING! Loud siren noise can cause hearing loss. Minimize exposure. Close windows when using.
1. Since the siren will be mounted upside down, its drain hole is now on top. This requires another drain hole to be drilled into the siren before mounting (See “Drilling the drain hole”).
2. Mount siren onto the bracket using the supplied mounting hardware. Install a spacer nut onto each of the bracket’s Pem Studs (Fig. 2).
3. Remove the large (full vehicle width) plastic splash guard mounted to the front, underside of the vehicle (Fig. 1). This allows access to the vehicle horn.
