Getting started
Make sure vehicle is parked on a level surface. Set parking brake. Disconnect negative battery terminal. If engine has run within the past two hours let it cool down.

Running boards cannot be installed if vehicle is equipped with front splash guards.
NOTE:• Thoroughly clean the bottom of the body from the rear wheels to the front wheels.
• Be careful not to damage the body paint finish. To prevent damage, place a blanket under the side step board during the installation.
• These instructions show the left running board being installed; the same procedure applies to installing the right running board.
1. Turn the steering wheel all the way counterclock- wise.
2. Remove and retain the four self-tapping screws from the left front inner fender.

The 03-04 Mustang cobra is slightly different, but all the major components and connections are the same. The principal modification to the A/C system from installing the KC system is the replacement of the condenser to evaporator tube, with a line that goes from the condenser to the KC unit, and a line from the KC unit to the evaporator (at the firewall). The flow path of the refrigerant at the end of this installation is:

OVERVIEW: VEHICLE 1 Using a 10mm socket with ratchet, loosen the nut and remove the negative battery cable from the negative post of the battery. 2 Using a 10mm socket with ratchet, remove the grounding bolt from the inner fender. This grounding bolt is located on the drivers’ inner fender behind the battery as shown in Figure B. 3 Using a 10mm socket with ratchet, remove the two bolts holding the windshield washer reservoir. 4 Lift the reservoir out of its place and unplug the green washer pump connector from the washer pump at the bottom of the reservoir. 5 Locate and disconnect the two front wiring harness plugs (E2 and E3). Remove the heat exchanger from its carton and inspect for any obvious physical damage. All kit components are thoroughly inspected and carefully packaged prior to shipment from the factory. If any shipping damage is evident, contact your supplier and request that they process a claim with the shipper involved. Be sure to review the parts list on page 3 to verify that you have all necessary system components to proceed. If any components in the parts list are missing, contact Turbonetics’ customer service staff.

Installation of a Performance Automotive Group body lift kit will change the vehicle’s center of gravity and handling characteristics both on- and off-road. You must drive the vehicle safely! Extreme care must be taken to prevent vehicle rollover or loss of control, which could result in serious injury or death. TO START the Installation:
1. Turn the ignition OFF and disconnect the vehicle’s negative battery cable.
2. Remove the four 13mm nuts that secure the strut toner brace to vehicle, then remove brace from vehicle.
3. Squeeze the two locking tabs together, then remove the mass air electrical connection as shown.
4. Loosen the hose clamp at the intake plenum and release the two clips that secure the air box lid to vehicle, then remove the upper air box and intake tube as shown.

TO START:
1. Turn the ignition OFF and disconnect the vehicle’s negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the mass air sensor electrical connection.
3. Loosen the hose clamp on the intake tube at the throttle body.
4. Loosen and remove the bolt that secures the air cleaner assembly to the inner fender.
5. Detach the crank case vent hose from the intake tube.
