EasyTune with a built in resistor pack

Used with DSM/EVO or other cars. Choose your installation method based on your choices of electronic equipment (ECU, injector drivers and resistor packs) that control your fuel injectors. Other option on the back of this page.
Use this installation method when using low impedance injectors AND an existing resistor pack as found in Mitsubishi Eclipse Turbo, EVO and other applications. You may, of course, add your own resistor pack.
EasyTune installs with three wires, as shown in the illustration on the right. Install the EasyTune in-line on the positive feed wire (A) that feeds the resistor pack.

OPERATING THE V-FORCE AND TESTING THE INSTALLATION
Reconnect the negative battery cable that you removed during the first part of the installation. Make sure the ON/OFF switch on the V-Force is in the OFF position. This is turned to the left. Start the vehicle, turn the V-Force ON/Off switch to the ON position. This is turned to the right. If the V-Force is operating, the LED lights on the front panel will illuminate. NOTE: Not all the LED lights will be illuminated at an idle, just a few of them. As you accelerate the vehicle, more LED lights will illuminate, indicating that the V-Force is functional.
TIP: Don’t turn the V-Force off and on while driving. By doing this you are modifying the input signals to the computer and it may cause a trouble code to set in the computers memory.

Removal of air intake plenum:
First of all, the task at hand is really easier than it appears. The only thing is… it takes time. If you know nothing about cars or what things are under the hood, I suggest you take a look at figure 18 and see if this is comprehendible to you. If it is and you have the tools and feel comfortable, please proceed. If not, I suggest you find a qualified mechanic instead of doing it yourself. The plenum itself is actually very easy to unbolt, only 13 bolts & nuts hold it in place. (fig. 19) What makes it complicated is all the other stuff you have to unbolt and move out of the way so your plenum is free to completely flip up and give you full access to the sparkplugs.
