1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove the oil fill cap and then lift up on the front of the engine beauty cover to remove it from the vehicle. Replace the oil cap for now to make sure nothing falls into the crankcase during the install.
2. Disconnect the hard plastic crankcase breather tube from the rubber elbow. Leave the rubber elbow connected to the factory air intake tube. Next loosen the hose clamp that secures the air intake tube to the throttle body.

This wheel is a direct replacement for your original factory steering wheel with spoke mounted control switches. The original airbag (SIR) module, horn switch, switch harness, switches and shroud from the factory wheel must be removed and transferred to the new GRANT wheel.

TO START: 1. Turn off the ignition and disconnect the negative battery cable.
NOTE: Disconnecting the negative battery cable erases pre-programmed electronic memories. Write down all memory settings before disconnecting the negative battery cable. Some radios will require an anti-theft code to be entered after the battery is reconnected. The anti-theft code is typically supplied with your owner’s manual. In the event your vehicles’ anti-theft code cannot be recovered, contact an authorized dealership to obtain your vehicles anti-theft code.

Check and record all codes and actions of your transmission before transmission is removed. This will help if you still have problems after installation. Damage to your transmission may have been caused from some other external source.

These solenoids will work for KM-175, 176, and 177 Series transmissions. The 3 ohm solenoid will work on all year models in the EPC position. It is also used in the DCC position on Mitsubishi vehicles prior to ‘93, and on later Hyundai and Chrysler vehicles. IF A 3 OHM RESISTANCE SOLENOID IS USED ON A SYSTEM REQUIRING A 13 OHM SOLENOID, THE COMPUTER WILL BE DAMAGED.
There are two methods to determine which ohms of resistance DCC (lock-up) solenoid is needed.
