Removing original inlet hose intact (can be reused)
1. Follow factory service manual for intake manifold removal.
2. Remove original inlet hose.
3. Install PERRIN inlet hose.
4. Re-install intake manifold in reverse order.
5. See instruction on page (2) for hose connections and routing to the PERRIN inlet hose.

1. All Tru-Time Cam Gears for Mitsubishi have provisions for the cam angle sensor that is mounted behind the intake cam gear on the 1995 to 1996 Mitsubishi Eclipse. The models starting with the 1997 model year have the cam angle sensor mounted at the rear of the cylinder head.
2. The procedure to change the gears is identical to the timing belt replacement procedure outlined in the factory service manual.
3. Obtain a suitable box or container to hold the hardware that will be removed from the engine during this installation. This will aid in the prevention of lost nuts and bolts.
4. Disconnect the negative battery terminal before starting these procedures.

1. Temporarily remove the grille and permanently remove the airdam. 2. Disconnect the fog lamp wiring if applicable and then remove the plastic bumper cover from the bumper. 3. Remove the bolts that attach the bumper from the end of the frame rails. 4. Install the hanger plates (Ref 7 & 8). Note: On the drivers side make sure not to pinch the power steering hoses and airbag sensor wire. The top plate on the rear of the hanger plate must install above the hoses. Loosely install the u-bolt (Ref 6) with washers (Ref 11) and nuts (Ref 13) thru the top rear plate and use the bumper bolt temporarily to hold the front of the hanger plate in position. Finger tighten the fasteners until all undercarriage parts are in place. 5. Install the pushbeam (Ref 1) square with the bottom of the hanger plates and secure with bolts (Ref 12), (more…)

• Disconnect the battery to prevent accidental engagement of starter motor.
• Drain coolant from system
• If your A/C is intact and charged it must be evacuated. This is best done by a professional garage with proper recycling equipment
Photo-1: Make sure the water pump mounting surfaces are clean and free of old gasket material. Using silicon sealer and new gaskets install the Water Pump (P171) to the block using (2) 3⁄8 x 21⁄4″ SHCS (S260) in the two lower water pump holes and one 3⁄8 x 11⁄2″ SHCS (S250) in the upper center hole
