Although the Milodon Chrysler Oil System has been around for 35 years, it is still the leader of the pack in ultimate performance and ability to provide adequate oiling to any serious Chrysler engine, Pro Street through Top Fuel. Today the parts are mostly billet and are run on CNC mills to assure the highest quality available but still the same renowned engineering.

Valve Body Inspection
1. If a line-to-lube hole has been drilled in the PR valve circuit, it should be plugged to reduce converter drainback.
2. Inspect the line pressure plug and sleeve. Leakage here will result in poor line pressure control.
3. Inspect the TV checkball separator plate seat. Leakage here may produce stacked shifts and/or no kickdown.
Disassembly Instructions
1. Remove the detent assembly and spring retainer bracket (see Figure 1).
2. Remove the original pressure regulator spring and valve.
3. Remove the end plate on the opposite side of the bore and remove the line pressure plug and sleeve, throttle pressure plug and the spring (see Figure 3).
4. Keep all components removed in steps 2 and 3 except for the pressure regulator valve, spring and the throttle pressure plug for reassembly.
5. Clean the bore.

Installation Instructions:
1. Refer to the illustrations and location chart for correct size shift cups.
2. Using a T20 Tork Plus bit, remove the existing OEM plastic shift cup and discard.
3. Using a T20 Tork Plus bit, install the correct size replacement aluminum shift cup.
4. Make sure the replacement shift cup is properly rotated so that the tabs will retain the valve body components securely.

Ratcheting End Plug Removal:
Note: Prior to removing the ratcheting end plug from the bore, measure and note how deeply it is installed. The replacement plug should be installed to this same depth to ensure proper line pressure control. The most accurate method is to insert a slide caliper rod through the hole in the plastic plug until it bottoms against the control valve. Bring the caliper end toward the plug until flush. This gives you the spring height adjustment from the plug to the valve. Record this measurement before removing the plug and duplicate this distance during reassembly to most accurately duplicate the spring compression setting. If your caliper will not pass through the hole, measure from the valve body casting surface to the outer face of the OEM plug and duplicate later.
