Tools & Procedures
• EQUIPMENT: Damper Installation Tool
• Anti-seize Compound
• The Proper Key
• Whenever it’s necessary to remove a vibration damper, only a proper puller tool should be used.
• DO NOT use a hammer during installation.
• Honing or machining Fluidampr bore is not recommended. A diametrical press fit of .0005″ to .0015″ is recommended for proper damper function. (Aluminum Fluidampr p/n’s 630102, 630112, 630602, 660202, 720102, 720112, 740102, 730602 & 740112 require a diametrical press fit of .001″ to .0025″.) If a micrometer is available, you may want to measure the crank snout and the inner bore of Fluidampr to assure proper fit.

Installation: 2002 Taurus
This siren will be mounted onto the vehicle horn’s mounting plate near the drivers side front tire. The vehicle horn’s mounting holes will be used to mount the SA314 siren speaker.
WARNING! Loud siren noise can cause hearing loss. Minimize exposure. Close windows when using.
1. Since the siren will be mounted upside down, its drain hole is now on top. This requires another drain hole to be drilled into the siren before mounting (See “Drilling the drain hole”).
2. Mount siren onto the bracket using the supplied mounting hardware. Install a spacer nut onto each of the bracket’s Pem Studs (Fig. 2).
3. Remove the large (full vehicle width) plastic splash guard mounted to the front, underside of the vehicle (Fig. 1). This allows access to the vehicle horn.

MAIN PANEL MOUNTING
Remove the OEM bezel and gauge cluster from the dash. Remove the entire factory gauge cluster from the bezel. From the back of the bezel, first insert the 5” round spacer so it sits flush against the inside of the bezel. Next, insert the smoked acrylic lens and secure with a small amount of glue, RTV or similar. Insert the speedometer pushbutton into the lens from the rear (the kit includes 2 different size buttons, select the one that fits such that the panel lays flat and the pushbutton has room to move), then install the panel so its sits against the four original retaining screw locations (at the 3, 6, 9 and 12 o’clock positions). The pushbutton will rest against a switch on the panel when properly installed and the LEDs will rest against the lens. Insert the 3 6/32 x ˝” screws through the panel and into the bezel at the original locations (using the approx. 3, 9 and 12 o’clock locations).
