STEP 1 : VEHICLE COMPATIBILITY
Downloadable Firmware for Platform XK01: GMDL5X, GMDL6X, GMDL7X
Default firmware on the XK1 platform is GMDL6X. If the vehicle you are working in is not in the GMDL6X list, you will need to reprogram the XK1 platform with the desired firmware.

INSTALLATION Roof Rack on 2008 CR-V
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the roof and other finished surfaces of the body when installing the roof rack.
1. Using a flat-tip screwdriver wrapped with a shop towel, remove the four roof trim covers (four retaining tabs for each cover).
2. Clean the paint off of the mounting studs. Thread on a special nut until you feel resistance, then turn it an additional 90°. Remove the nut, and blow the nut and stud clean with compressed air. Repeat this process until the nut threads all the way on.
3. Repeat step 2 for all of the remaining studs.

STEP 1: PREPARE THE VEHICLE
Lift the vehicle at the rear axle until the vehicle is not supported by the leaf spring anymore. Make sure the vehicle is secure and not liable to roll away or unintentionally lower.
STEP 2: INSTALL THE AIR FITTING
Pre fit the kit by mounting the brackets onto the spring and by fitting the elbow for the air supply in the spring. Install the elbow in the air inlet hole on the top plate of the bellows. Tighten until the elbow is pointing towards the centre of the vehicle. Next, cut the air line into two equal lengths, making the cut as square to the axis of the tubing as possible. Insert the air line into the elbow and push until a positive click is felt.

Step 1: Remove the intake in order to free up space so you can get to the back of the passenger side headlight.
Step 2: Remove the access cap on the back of the headlight to reveal the stock bulb. Also think about where you want to mount the ballast so you can clean the surface with degreaser or alcohol so that the sticky pad will stick. I chose to place my ballast under the intake as shown. Also unplug the bulbs wiring harness so you can remove the stock halogen bulb.
Step 3: Drill a 1” hole into the back access cap for the wires to feed through. Then feed the wire harness of the bulbs through the hole from the inside out and seal the 1” hole that you drilled with the gasket as shown. You should have the bulb and the connector that will plug into the OEM bulb harness both coming out of the same side.

Note: You must be able to gain access underneath the vehicle in order to remove and replace sections of the intake system. Always ensure the vehicle is securely raised before working underneath.
Step 1: Remove Factory Intakes & Air Box Remove engine cover.
Using basic tools, disconnect all hoses and electrical connectors attached to the factory intake tubes. Disconnect and remove intakes and remove factory air box & air filter assembly. On the rear, the factory “S” boot connecting to the rear turbo remains.
Optional Step: Modifying Your Factory Air Box Scoop
From the factory, the air box features a “scoop” at the front of the vehicle to direct outside air in. You can make a cut to create a scoop that serves this same function with the new air intake:
Optional modified air scoop.

Prepare for the installation.
• If possible, install the SWI-X while you are installing the new head unit. Keep in mind you may need to plug in the factory stereo to locate certain wires; therefore do not complete the head unit installation until the SWI-X is working properly.
• Plan a general installation location for both the SWI-X LED and the control body. Keep in mind that the supplied wire harness is two feet long, and the IR harness is four feet long.
• Use a multimeter or approved measuring device for checking vehicle circuits.

Make sure you maintain the vehicle in a clean pristine condition, and trim components are undamaged and placed back into position. Always protect the painted and interior surfaces, on all vehicles during the installation. Have a clean terry cloth and cleaning alcohol with you to clean off any fingerprints on the interior of the vehicles. Note: The 2008 TT is currently the only vehicle that can be ordered with CD Changer prep or CD Changer. The 2008 R8 must have a CD Changer to accommodate this installation.

Audi/VW Adjustable Control Arms

These arm will allow you to fine tune your alignment settings for minimizing tire wear, or for maximum track performance. These arms completely replace your existing upper control arms.
Step 1: Raise the entire front of the car and secure it with jack stands. Never work under a car supported only by a hydraulic floor jack. Check your owner’s manual for proper placement of floor jacks and jack stands. If you live in an area where rust is a concern liberal use of penetrating fluid will be necessary and may increase the installation difficult. If you have any concerns, please consult with a professional.
