This kit will allow you to adapt a Chrysler 392 Hemi engine to all GM transmissions utilizing the Chevrolet bolt pattern. The use of this adapter kit will require a stock length torque converter. (A GM torque converter must be used with this adapter kit. It will not work with a Chrysler torque converter). Your Chrysler starter will bolt into place without any modifications. Reuse your OEM starter bolts.

It may be necessary to modify the adapter plate to fit you chassis. It can easily be trimmed using a band saw or hack saw. The plate may be trimmed up to two inches from mounting holes.
STEP 1: Bolt adapter plate to engine using bolts provided with kit. (Check manual for OEM torque specifications.)
STEP 2: Slide crankshaft sleeve into original crankshaft pilot space.
STEP 3: Install Flywheel: Use thread sealer and torque (100 foot pounds) the eight (8) 1/2″-20×1″ socket screw bolts. (We suggest that you install your Chrysler starter at this time. This will allow you to check for proper alignment with the flywheel teeth.)
STEP 4: Install a GM type torque converter into transmission.
STEP 5: Bolt transmission onto the TCI adapter plate. Use bolts provided with kit.
STEP 6: Using the three- (3) converter spacers, bolt the converter to the flywheel. Use one spacer per bolt. Install the spacer next to the flywheel then bolt the converter to the flywheel using the TCI 745501 converter bolts. (Use thread sealer and torque to 30 foot pounds.)
STEP 7: Check depth clearance between pads of converter to outside edge of transmission bell-housing.
