1933-1934 Ford Car ONLY Crossmember Kit

1. Start by supporting the car on 4 jack stands. The car should be sitting on approximately the same angle as it does on the ground, or slightly lower in front. (If you are using a new pair of boxed frame rails, you can skip to step 5.)
2. Remove all the old front suspension components. We would recommend that at this point, you tack weld or clamp a temporary brace across the frame rails in front of the old crossmember as shown in Figure 1. This helps to maintain the rail dimension after the old crossmember is removed. Lastly, remove the old crossmember by drilling out the rivets.

2. Remove all the old front suspension components. Note that on the underside of the frame are the two rubber axle snubbers (or the holes for them, if they are missing) directly above the axle. Mark them for later reference.
3. We would recommend that at this point, you tack weld or clamp a temporary brace across the frame rails in front of the old crossmember as shown in
Figure 1. This helps to maintain the rail dimension after the old crossmember is removed.

Installation of Full Tilt Street Rods’ Crossmember Kit is easy because we have designed all the correct angles onto our crossmember. You must make a couple of measurements to correctly place the crossmember and spring mounts before welding. Minor adjustments may be needed for some variations in your frame. We recommend that all welding be done by a qualified welder using accepted procedures. We also recommend that a professional alignment shop do all wheel alignment.

Removal: 1. Raise vehicle on a hoist, allowing the front suspension lower arms (3078) to hang free.
2. Remove wheel and tire assembly.
3. Remove disc brake caliper (2B120), then wire it out of the way to obtain working room.
4. Disconnect tie rod end (3A130) assembly from the front wheel spindle (3105) using Tie Rod End Remover TOOL-3290-D or equivalent.

If you select to use a standard stick shift, or 350 Turbo automatic transmission, you can use the stock S-10 crossmember with some slight modification. For easier assembly and installation, vehicle and all snowplow components should be on a smooth, level, hard surface, such as concrete.
1. Remove bumper from bumper brackets. Retain fasteners.
2. Remove bumper brackets from frame. Diesel and V10 applications: On these applications you must first remove the top two intercooler fasteners. Then push intercooler up and out to provide clearance to remove bumper bracket bolt assembly.
Retain fasteners.

Begin by carefully inserting all four (4) of the Audi radio removal tools into the slots on the face of the radio until you hear and feel a slight click. This locks the tool into place. Carefully pull the radio out of its cavity letting the radio rest on the center console. Hint: Place a clean towel under the radio to when resting on the console.
