Provide additional support when a vehicle is on a hoist in the following ways:
• Before removing parts, support the opposite end. This helps prevent the vehicle from slipping off.
• Before removing major components, chain the vehicle frame to the hoist pads at the same end as the removal. This helps avoid a tip-off. Read the rest of this entry »

The AEM Cold Air System is the result of extensive development on a wide variety of cars.
Each system is engineered for the particular application. The AEM Cold Air System differs from
all others in several ways. We take the inlet air from outside of the engine compartment where
the inlet air is considerably cooler than the hot under hood air. The cooler inlet air temperature
translates to more power during the combustion process because cool air is denser than warm
air. AEM has conducted extensive inlet air temperature studies and we have seen temperature
reductions of up to 50 degrees by pulling air from outside of the engine compartment. The air
mass flow to the engine is increased because of the increased airflow and reduced inlet
temperature, which translates to more power. The AEM Cold Air Systems come with complete
instructions for ease of installation.

1. Temporarily remove the grille and permanently remove the airdam. 2. Disconnect the fog lamp wiring if applicable and then remove the plastic bumper cover from the bumper. 3. Remove the bolts that attach the bumper from the end of the frame rails. 4. Install the hanger plates (Ref 7 & 8). Note: On the drivers side make sure not to pinch the power steering hoses and airbag sensor wire. The top plate on the rear of the hanger plate must install above the hoses. Loosely install the u-bolt (Ref 6) with washers (Ref 11) and nuts (Ref 13) thru the top rear plate and use the bumper bolt temporarily to hold the front of the hanger plate in position. Finger tighten the fasteners until all undercarriage parts are in place. 5.
