Section 1: Repair instructions for E36 1. Connect DIS/MoDiC 3 tester to a vehicle and read out SRS module fault code memory. If the above mentioned SRS faults are set in the airbag control module, proceed with the repair. 2. Remove corresponding front seat. For a removal instructions refer to RA 52 10 000 , or RA 52 10 001 (sports seat) which can be found in the Technical Information System (TIS). 3. Disconnect vehicle’s battery. 4. Remove cable securing wire ties (1), unplug the belt tensioner connector (2) from the belt buckle assembly and from the Read the rest of this entry »

P1711 Engine Torque Control Signal 1 Circuit Malfunction – With Automatic Transmission
Possible Causes
Communication circuit between to the TCM is open or shorted to ground PCM connector is damaged (check pins for damage, and for moisture) TCM connector is damaged (check pins for damage, and for moisture)
Setting Conditions
Engine speed more than 500 rpm; system voltage over 8.0v, and the PCM detected an unexpected high voltage condition on the Engine Torque Control Signal 1 circuit. This code sets in 2 Trip(s). This code will turn on the MIL (Malfunction Indicator Lamp)

A thermistor built into the engine coolant temperature sensor changes the resistance value according to the engine coolant temperature. The structure of the sensor and connection to the ECM is the same as in the intake air temp. circuit malfunction shown on page DI-26 . If the ECM detects the DTC P0115, it operates the fail-safe function in which the engine coolant temp. is assumed to be 80°C (176°F).
HINT: After confirming DTC P0115 use the OBD II scan tool or TOYOTA hand-held tester to confirm the engine coolant temperature from ”CURRENT DATA”.

Tests/Procedures: 1. Ground the Violet/Yellow wire (disarm circuit) that goes to either front door and the theft alarm module. Have the keys out of the ignition and all doors closed when grounding the wire. This should disarm the theft alarm system and prevent the theft alarm from arming. 2. Check that the interior lights do not stay on due to the wire being grounded. If they do, the illuminated entry relay will need to be removed or another method of disabling the theft alarm will have to be used. 3. Another method if the theft alarm module is faulty would be to disconnect the module and replace the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with a new one.

This procedure is required if keys are lost, a replacement Engine Management ECM is fitted, new or additional ignition (transponder) keys needs to be matched to the vehicle. When transponder (ignition) keys are matched to the vehicle the key data is stored in the memory of the immobiliser ECU and used to recognise and validate the ignition keys. The matching of ignition (transponder) keys to a particular vehicle requires the use of the following functions: Login ECM and Adaptation. The Login ECM function enables the technician to enter the 5 or 7 digit login code. A valid login code must be entered in order to program new ignition (transponder) keys for all VAG cars. The Adaptation function enables the technician to adapt new and additional ignition (transponder) keys.

98 Ford Explorer A/C Problem

You AC should be cooling more effectively than that on MaxAC − I’d take it back and get the pressure checked to ensure you don’t have a leak. Something is funny about your problem though as MaxAC should work even with a bad blend door. MaxAC opens the recirculating air damper, shuts off the flow to the heater core and cranks the AC so you should get full cooling. If you look on this picture below you will see how it all is setup − the blend door is in the middle and controls air flow around the heater core after the AC evaporator. If the heater core is off then you should still get full cooling even if the blend door is wonky.

By a built-in sensor unit, the manifold absolute pressure sensor detects the intake manifold pressure as a voltage. The ECM then determines the basic injection duration and basic injection advance angle based on this voltage. Since the manifold absolute pressure sensor does not use the atmospheric pressure as a criterion, but senses the absolute pressure inside the intake manifold (the pressure in proportion to the present absolute vacuum 0), it is not influenced by fluctuations in the atmospheric pressure due to high altitude and other factors. This permits it to control the air-fuel ratio at the proper lever under all conditions.
