Tests/Procedures: 1. Ground the Violet/Yellow wire (disarm circuit) that goes to either front door and the theft alarm module. Have the keys out of the ignition and all doors closed when grounding the wire. This should disarm the theft alarm system and prevent the theft alarm from arming. 2. Check that the interior lights do not stay on due to the wire being grounded. If they do, the illuminated entry relay will need to be removed or another method of disabling the theft alarm will have to be used. 3. Another method if the theft alarm module is faulty would be to disconnect the module and replace the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with a new one.

Motor Vehicle Theft Prevention

Motor vehicle theft is a serious problem in many parts of the world. In the United States, the annual loss from car theft is over $4 billion. The Automotive Information Council reports that over one million motor vehicles are stolen in the U.S. each year. That’s one motor vehicle theft every 31 seconds.

HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT (HCU) Removal and Installation
1. Disconnect the battery. For additional information, refer to BATTERY & CHARGING SYSTEM .
2. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to IDENTIFICATION CODES
3. Remove the parts in the order indicated in the following illustration and table. WARNING: Brake fluid contains polyglycol ethers and polyglycols. Avoid contact with eyes. Wash hands thoroughly after handling. If brake fluid contacts eyes, flush eyes with running water for 15 minutes. Get medical attention if irritation persists. If taken internally, drink water and induce vomiting. Get medical attention immediately. Read the rest of this entry »

If the complete throttle valve control module is current-less (e.g. connector disconnected) the throttle valve moves into a particular, specified mechanical position, which signals an increased idle speed with an engine at operating temperature. If only the Throttle Position (TP) actuator -V60- is current-less, the throttle valve also moves into the specified mechanical position (emergency running gap), however, since Closed Throttle Position (CTP) switch -F60- can still be recognized, an “almost normal” is reached via the respective ignition angle retardation. If the Engine Control Module (ECM) detects a malfunction at Throttle Position (TP) sensor -G69-, Throttle Position (TP) actuator -V60- is switched current-less by the Engine Control Module (ECM) and the throttle valve moves into the specified mechanical position (emergency running gap) again.

The AS-100 Anti-skid Drive System is intended for use by the professional aircraft maintenance technician. Use by consumers or other unqualified personnel is not recommended.
Notes:
1. The 4 wheel anti-skid system installed on the Falcon 10 & 50 and others requires the use of 4 Drive Motors with 4 PN AS-300-101 axel adapters.
2. The Messier-Bugatti anti-skid system installed on the Falcon 900 requires the use of the 6 Drive Motors with 4 PN AS-300-203 Axel Adapters, 2 P/N AS-300-204 Axel Adapters.

Exhaust System Removal:
1. Measure 1.5” for STS (See Fig. A) or 9” for SRX (See Fig. B) before the driver side muffler inlet weld. Using a chain cutter or saw, cut the rear muffler off at this measurement.
2. Remove the hanger on the inlet side of the muffler from the rubber isolator.
3. Remove both hangers near the factory tips from the rubber isolators.
NOTE: Be sure to save all rubber isolators from the vehicle. They will be used to install the CORSA Performance exhaust system in later steps.
4. Repeat steps 1-3 for the passenger side muffler.

The 1100X/F-GM interface module is used when installing remote start products in GM vehicles equipped with a factory immobilizer. The 1100X/ F-GM allows for easy interfacing between the remote start and the factory immobilizer, while maintaining the integrity of the OEM system. The factory transponder-based anti-theft system uses a small electronic chip hidden in the key to send a code to the vehicle’s transceiver when the ignition is energized. The key must be placed in the ignition and turned to the RUN position. This energizes a coil surrounding the key, which in turn energizes the chip, which sends a code to the vehicle. If the vehicle does not detect the code being sent, the vehicle will start and then immediately shut off or will just crank, and the anti-theft light will flash. The 1100X/F-GM provides a valid code to the vehicle whenever it is remote started, but does not affect the immobilizer system during normal vehicle operation; the immobilizer system remains fully functional.

With a used vehicle, we suggest a penetrating spray lubricant to be applied liberally to all exhaust fasteners and allowing a significant period of time for the chemical to lubricate the threads before attempting to disassemble.
1. Carefully disconnect and remove the oxygen sensors located just behind each front flange as the left side shown in figure 1. Place them to the side for use during the installation of your new exhaust system.
2. Unbolt and remove the center support bar shown in figure 2. Place the hardware to the side for use during the installation of your new exhaust system.
