With the LANCER EVOLUTION X, Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) adopted its first ever trunk-mounted battery with a view to delivering superior performance through a reduction in the proportion of vehicle weight borne by the front wheels. Since the battery is the central part of the power-supply circuitry, changing its location had a significant effect on the electrical systems.
