Begin by carefully inserting all four (4) of the Audi radio removal tools into the slots on the face of the radio until you hear and feel a slight click. This locks the tool into place. Carefully pull the radio out of its cavity letting the radio rest on the center console. Hint: Place a clean towel under the radio to when resting on the console. This will prevent scratching the center console

This performance kit installation steps on Audi A3: 1. Disconnect the negative terminal from the vehicle battery. 2. Remove the plastic engine cover. (Fig. 1) 3. Unclip & remove the engine breather hose from the intake pipe. (Fig. 2) 4. Remove the small vacuum hose from under the breather hose on the intake pipe. Follow the vacuum hose & remove the hose from the inlet manifold. Blank off the pipe on the manifold using the small rubber cap supplied. (Fig. 3) 5. Remove the small rubber hose from the side of the intake pipe as shown. (Fig. 4) 6. Unclip & remove the auxiliary air pump feed pipe from the air box as shown. (Fig. 5) 7. Unclip & remove the plastic intake pipe from the throttle housing. (Fig. 6) 8. Remove the air box securing bolt & carefully pull the air box assembly out of its mounting grommets. For cars with a THREADED gear knob (early Audi,VW,Seat to approx 2005) follow the instructions from point 2
For cars with a SLOTTED gearknob (approx 2005 on) follow the instructions from point 8
1. If fitting to an Audi TT, first using a T20 screwdriver, undo all 8 of the T20 screws surrounding the gear stick. Other cars with a screw on gearknob, skip to point 2..then lift the ring away to expose the rubber underneath
2. Unscrew the existing gearknob….and remove the rubber gaitor and aluminium spacer (if applicable) from the gear stick.

Common Problems
1. I am having trouble connecting with an ‘02 Audi A4.
This vehicle does pose connection issues with most aftermarket tools. Please continue to retry the connection.
2. I am having trouble getting good data rates on a specific controller.
Audi/VW consolidated sensors into groups. Some sensor groups can update at slower rates then others. Typically, this is text-based sensors on non-critical models like Telephone or Climate control. To resolve this select only those sensors that are important to you until you reach a saturation point for the data throughput.
