The AEM Brute Force Intake System is the result of extensive development on a wide variety of cars. It is the most advanced short pipe air intake system on the market. Each system is specifically engineered for its particular application. All AEM Brute Force Intake Systems deliver maximum performance gains through the lightweight, all- aluminum, mandrel-bent tubing that is tuned in both length and diameter. The tube length and diameter are matched for each specific engine to give power over a broad RPM range. Every intake is coated with a high-gloss, heat-reducing Zirconia based powder coating. This special blend of powder coating helps reduce heat penetration, which in turn reduces the temperature of the inlet air charge. The cooler inlet air temperature translates to more power during the combustion process because cool air is denser than warm air. The air mass flow to the engine is increased because of the increased airflow and reduced inlet temperature, which translates to more power.

The Edelbrock RPM Air-Gap #7516 intake manifold has been designed for 262-400 c.i.d. small-block Chevy engines equipped with Vortec style cylinder heads. The manifold accepts late model water neck, air conditioning, alternator and H.E.I. ignition systems. Use the recommended electric or manual type choke square bore carburetors only. This intake manifold is recommended for street high performance and race vehicles only. The RPM Air Gap manifold provides good low rpm response for street performance vehicles while providing increases in horsepower and torque up to 6500 RPM. When used with any mix of aftermarket equipment designed for this operating range, the performance increases will be even greater.

Big Block Chevy Interchange Manual

Cylinder Heads
Mark IV cylinder heads, made by Chevrolet, will not interchange to a stock, production Gen.V Chevy block. There will be a water leak into the lifter valley because of a mismatch of water jacket core holes. Likewise, stock production Gen.V cylinder heads, made by Chevrolet, will not interchange onto Mark IV block cases for the same reason. There are exceptions. You can put Mark IV cylinder heads on a Gen.V “Bowtie” block because the Gen.V “Bowtie” cases have smaller Read the rest of this entry »

We hope you are satisfied with the look and performance. You may use any polish or wax on the pipe as it’s painted with the same high quality paint as your car. Please note, with such a large pipe the fit is tight. Take your time and it will be a smooth install. Please note, it has come to our attention that Ford has 4 different motor mounts putting the engine in 4 slightly different positions. This can cause this intake to be very tight to the oil fill cap on a small percentage of models and “may” require slight modification of the cap with a Dremel or grinder to clear this JLT intake.
