Start by removing the factory pillar. This is done by pulling down the rubber door gasket and removing the two screws in the handle area of the pillar, tip the top towards the steering wheel to get it out. You have to use a little force to get it free of the dash.
Though the gauge pod is intended to be used as a replacement for the factory pillar, we suggest cutting the handle off of the factory pillar and using the gauge pod as a cover. This is so that the backs of the gauges will not be visible through the windshield after installation.

Removing the OEM seat
A. Begin by lifting the rear seat bottom out from the seat hooks (See fig. 1). Remove the seat belts by removing the OEM nuts from the vehicle seat belt mounting studs using a 18mm socket/wrench (See fig. 1A). Do not remove the seat belts anchored to the sides of the vehicle (shoulder straps).
B. Remove the backrest OEM seat by pressing on the top of the tabs located on either side of the seat behind the headrests. A screwdriver can be used to accomplish this unlocking of the tabs. (See fig. 2 & 3)
C. At this point the vehicle should resemble (Fig. 4). The seats have been removed and only the OEM child restraints are exposed. Note that some of the child restraint bars have been bent toward the floor. This is necessary for the Pro-gard seat to fit properly in position. Simply press firmly onto these bars until they resemble the photo #4.
D. Make sure that the seat brackets (3P214) are installed as shown in the photo to the right. This will help align the Center Divider.

The DODGE Quantis RHB Gear Reducer is factory filled with ISO 220 EP type mineral oil to the correct oil level for the specified mounting position. Changes in the mounting position will require relocation of the oil level and vent plugs. Oil may have to be added or drained to get to the correct oil level in the new mounting position. See the Mounting Position Diagrams on Pages 7 and 8 for the correct plug locations for various mounting positions of the Quantis RHB unit. The oil level should be checked before startup and frequently thereafter, preferably with the unit at operating temperature.
