Removal (Camry)
1) Remove hub cap, cotter pin and lock nut. Loosen and remove lock nut from wheel bearing. Remove engine undercover. Remove front fender apron seal.

Removal
1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove P/S reservoir from radiator shroud. Remove upper fan shroud. Remove serpentine belt.
2. Remove generator with brackets and lay aside. Using Hub Puller (J-24420-B), remove crankshaft pulley hub. Remove oil pan. See OIL PAN. Remove front timing case cover bolts, and cover.
3. Using large screwdriver, remove crankshaft front seal. DO NOT distort timing gear cover during seal removal.
CAUTION: To prevent oil leakage, coat crankshaft pulley hub keyway with RTV sealant before installation.

Tools you need: • Torx T-20 • Socket wrench size M10 • Small screwdriver • Chalk or pencil (if you want to put some marks on the bodykit to fix it exactly as it was) • A bucket to store the washer fluid (remember: it might be upto 6.5 liters!) • Old soft blankets, wood blocks or a friend to lend a helping hand to avoid scratches to the bumper paint

REMOVAL 1. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER 2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT 3. DISCONNECT UPPER RADIATOR HOSE 4. DISCONNECT PS PUMP FROM ENGINE (a) Disconnect the 2 PS air hoses from the air intake chamber and resonator. (b) Remove the bolt holding the PS pressure tube clamp to the frame. (c) Remove the drive belt (See page SR–3). (d) Remove the bolt and nut, and disconnect the PS pump from the engine. 5. DISCONNECT A/C COMPRESSOR FROM ENGINE (a) Disconnect the A/C compressor connector. (b) Remove the drive belt (See page AC–17). Mikuni 30-32 DIDTA carburetor is used on Mirage models; the 32-35 DIDTA on Cordia, Mitsubishi Pickups, Montero and Tredia models. These 2-barrel, 2-stage carburetors use primary and secondary circuits. Carburetor components include conventional accelerator pump, vacuum-actuated secondary throttle diaphragm, sub-EGR valve system, fully automatic choke, coasting air valve, fuel cut-off solenoid, anti-overfill device, and air switching valve. A jet air control valve, bowl vent valve and dashpot are used on all manual transmission models except Pickups.

INSTALLATION NOTES
1. Unless specified, mount all Sub-Frame components to vehicle before tightening any bolts.
2. Vehicle should be parked on a level surface with the
front suspension normally loaded.
MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Locate existing slotted holes in vehicle frame rails directly above front axle.
2. Install Mounting Bracket (#3)RH, using three (3) 5/8″ x 2″ Capscrews (#10) Washers, and Nylock Nuts provided.

Toyota RAV4 features a more robust engine, exterior and interior updates, and more standard equipment. The previous 148-hp, 2.0-liter four-cylinder has been supplanted by a 2.4-liter that makes 161 hp. The suspension and steering have been retuned accordingly. The front and rear ends both have a new look, and inside, cosmetic changes include a redesigned steering wheel, instrument panel, and center dash. Anti-lock brakes with brake assist are now standard, as are air conditioning, cruise control, steering-wheel audio controls, and power windows, door locks, and mirrors. The RAV4’s interior has more room than most mid-size station wagons: 68.3 cubic feet in the rear. The original cute-ute is available with front-wheel drive or a full-time four-wheel-drive system that operates transparently. The RAV4 is nimble, practical, good looking, and well made.

Installation of this baseplate requires drilling 17/32” holes in the vehicle’s frame.
1. Read the General Instruction Sheet included with this baseplate.
2. The baseplate bolts to the bottom of the frame behind the bumper using six bolts supplied with the baseplate. Use of Loctite to secure the bolts is highly recommended. The vibrations and stresses of towing can cause bolts to loosen even with lock washers in the assembly.
