1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01.
2. Remove the accelerator cable snow shield.
3. Detach the spark plug wire retainer.

Ford provides NO procedure to replace the Camshaft Position Sensor without the special tool shown in this article.
CAUTION: Syncro Positioning Tool T95T-12200-A (303-529) must be obtained prior to installation of the replacement synchronizer assembly. Failure to follow this procedure will result in the fuel system being out of time with the engine, possibly causing engine damage.

1. Remove the factory harness from the OEM MAF Sensor
2. Remove the two screws and gently slide the MAF out of its housing
3. Your now ready to install your new GMS MAF sensor to your intake tube.

You have just acquired the latest in Electronic Fuel Injection harnesses, allowing installation of any 1985 or later Tuned Port Fuel Injection and intake manifold on a Chevrolet small block V-8 engine. It is designed utilize the vehicle on-board computer, and all the GM preferred relays, sensors and other accessories to operate the fuel injection as originally designed. All systems that effect engine performance have been included except for those that are exclusively for emission control such as the Air Injection Reactor and Exhaust Gas Recirculation system. Supplemental Restraint System SRS (a) Failure to carry out procedures listed below could result in possible deployment of airbag, personal injury, or unnecessary repairs to SRS. (b) Turn the key switch to the LOCK position. (Fig. 1) (c) Remove the key from the ignition switch. (d) Disconnect the negative battery cable. (Fig. 2) (e) Never use a voltmeter to trouble shoot any of Accidentally probing the connectors to the SRS can lead to deployment of the airbag. (Fig 3) (f) SRS wire harness loom/cover is bright yellow in color.

INSTALLATION
NOTE: You will need a #50 Torx bit for this installation
1. Assemble the harness support rods as shown below using the provided heim joints and nuts. Leave at least ¼” of thread showing on each heim joint to allow for adjustment during installation. Do not fully tighten the nuts at this time. NOTE: One end of each of the support rods has reversed thread.

This mount bar has been designed to provide a mounting point for the shoulder straps of a 5 or 6 point off road harness system. Note: loctite on all threads is recommended. Steps (1 – 7) are for installing the rear mounting brackets. These brackets remain in the vehicle so these steps are done just once.
Step 1. Remove rear lower seat cushion lift up at lower edge as shown.
Step 2. Remove outside seat back cushions. Carefully pull at top rear edge, rotate & pivot to clear lower pivot pin.
Step 3. Remove rear inside 1/4 panels carefully – pop out.
Step 4. Remove outside rear seat belt buckle, mounting bolt and washers.

Band-Mounted Sensor Re-Learn installation for Ford/Mercury/Lincoln vehicle: 1. Make sure all tires are inflated to the vehicle’s recommended inflation pressures (found in the owner’s manual on the door placard). 2. Turn the ignition switch to OFF then press and release the brake pedal. 3. Turn the ignition switch from OFF to RUN (engine OFF) 3 times, ending in the RUN position. Do this within 10 seconds. 4. Press and release the brake pedal. 5. Turn the ignition switch back to OFF. 6. Turn the ignition switch from OFF to RUN (engine OFF) 3 times, ending in the RUN position. Do this within 10 seconds. 7.
