Remove the turbocharger system from its carton and inspect for any obvious physical damage. All kit components are thoroughly inspected and carefully packaged prior to shipment from the factory. If any shipping damage is evident, contact your supplier and request that they process a claim with the shipper involved. Be sure to review the parts list on page 3 & 4 to verify that you have all necessary system components to proceed. 2. If the vehicle is equipped with an Anti-theft radio, the radio code must be written down prior to disconnecting the battery cable. The code must be re-entered when the negative battery cable is reinstalled. Disconnecting the battery

Preparation
1. Ensure all lamps and accessories are OFF.

3. Loosen the negative battery cable bolt.
Remove negative battery cable from terminal and position away from battery.
4. Wait one (1) minute prior to working on the vehicle to assure SIR roof rail airbag system has been disabled for your safety.

Exhaust System Removal:
For ease of installation and safety concerns, the use of a lift is recommended and be sure to wear safety glasses.
Prior to installation, be sure vehicle is parked on a level surface and the exhaust system is cool.
1) After your vehicle is properly secured and there is enough clearance to work from under the vehicle, the first step is to remove the oxygen sensor located between the catalytic converter and the center muffler – (See Fig. A). Use a 7/8-inch open-end wrench to remove the threaded sensor.
2) The next step is to determine where to cut the connecting pipe between the catalytic converter and center muffler. Using a tape measure, measure from the front edge of the catalytic converter flange (See Fig. C) back 20 INCHES for the STS or 18-1/2 INCHES for the DTS and mark the connecting pipe.
