Nissan has determined that some 2007 model year Armada and Titan vehicles may have been equipped with TPMS sensors designed for the previous model year vehicle. The TPMS is functional and detects low tire pressure as designed. However, in some vehicles, this condition could, at some point, cause the low tire indicator lamp to illuminate even if the tire pressure is not low. The TPMS would continue to operate normally if reset. To correct this potential condition, Nissan will conduct a Voluntary Service Campaign to inspect the valve stem cap to Read the rest of this entry »

Removal and Installation Procedure for Titan Front (Shocks come pre-charged direct from the factory with 200 PSI of Nitrogen)
1. Park the vehicle on a level concrete surface where it is safe to work on your vehicle.
2. Lock and center the steering wheel.
3. Place blocks in front and behind the rear tires so as to keep the vehicle from moving forwards or backwards.
4. It is beneficial that you get a reference measurement of the stock ride height prior to the removal of the stock coil-overs; measuring the distance from the center of the hub to the bottom of the fender does this. You will use this measurement when you are setting your ride height after installation.
5. Using a jack lift the front of the vehicle and support the vehicle using jack stands. Be sure to place the jack and jack stands securely in the positions shown in the diagram. After placing the jack stands slowly lower the jack and remove the jack so that the front suspension can hang freely. Remember to be alert and cautious when working under a vehicle.
6. Remove the front wheels and set them aside.
7. Using a 14mm wrench or socket remove the three nuts from the top of the OEM spring hat.
8. Using a 19mm wrench and socket remove the bolt (19mm) and nut (19mm) from the lower shock mount. Remove the entire shock assembly from the truck. Remember to save the lower shock mount bolt and nut.

The components in this Fuel Injection Test Kit enable the testing of the fuel delivery pressure to the engine. Pressure Gauge (1) connections are made either directly to the pump, or in-line with the pump and engine.
1. Relieve the fuel line pressure from the vehicle fuel system. Refer to the vehicle manufacturer’s service manual for instruction on relieving pressure from the fuel line, testing procedures and connection points, and normal pressure readings.
2. Use the various fittings and hoses to connect the Pressure Gauge (1) directly to the fuel pump, as in the case of the VW®, or in-line with the fuel pump and engine for most other vehicles. See connection examples on the next page.
Use a small amount of pipe compound or teflon tape on the connection threads to prevent leaks. Tighten using a wrench (not supplied).
Caution: Make sure all connections are tight to avoid fuel leaks.

A Sustainable Fuel for the Future

Development of vehicles that could operate on alternative fuels began in earnest as a response to the oil shocks of the 1970s. Of the various choices, methanol appeared to be the best candida~ for long-term, widespread replacement of petroleum-based fuels. Initial support by the government was based on the desire for energy security, but the potential for improvement in air quality became an important driver as well. Experimental fleets of dedicated methanol vehicles did Read the rest of this entry »
