Once the Multimedia Interface Novosonic-Intercar Ventura Technology has been installed, please follow these instructions to activate the different external video sources connected to the original touch screen monitor.
In this installation example we have installed a CD Changer, a DVD Player, a Rear View Camera and an Apple iPod.
1.- Press the DISC button to activate the CD Changer which has been previously installed. When pressing the AUDIO button, the screen will display the Audio menu. The touch buttons perform their regular functions, that is, controlling the CD Changer functions.
- Press the CD button to activate the Interface.
- Press the SEEK UP button (▲) to activate VIDEO 1 (the DVD player); the screen will display the picture of the disc loaded in the DVD player.
If you touch any part of the screen during playback, the DVD Picture will disappear and the screen will display the navigation map. You will still hear the audio from the DVD source. Pressing the SEEK UP button once more, the DVD picture will appear on screen again.
- To exit the DVD function, press the SEEK UP button.
- Press the SEEK DOWN button (▼) to activate any other external source (VIDEO 2) which has been installed (in this case, a rear view camera and an iPod)
In the example explained here, the screen would display the rear view picture and the iPod could be heard through the car speakers. If you touch any part of the screen when this function has been activated, the Picture of the external source will disappear and you will see the navigation map. The external audio will continue playing. Pressing the SEEK DOWN button once more, the external source picture will appear on screen again.
2.4.- To exit the external source function, press the SEEK DOWN button.
3.- If you push CD button again, the Interface will be disabled. The CD Changer will be activated again and all touch buttons will regain their regular functions for the control of the CD Changer.
NOTE: If you have installed a Rear View Camera and the appropriate cable on the interface has been connected to Reverse, the Rear View Camera will be automatically activated every time the car is set to Reverse. The screen will display the rear view picture until a different gear is set.
